Every time I start the client i get this message, "the underlying connection was cloesd. an unexpected error occurred on a receive"

could someone please help me, been getting the message for about 16 hours now

Are you on wired or wireless internet?

You might want to unplug your router and cable modem, wait 15 seconds, and then plug them back in. Doing that has a good chance at fixing your problem.

If that doesn't work, and you happen to be on a wireless connection, try connecting straight into your cable modem with a LAN cable and see if wired allows you to connect. Ask a neighbor if you can connect to their wireless connection, and see if you can get into DDO through that connection. Doing these things will help to isolate where the connection problems are. If you end up isolating the problem to your wireless router, you might need a firmware update to it.

What kind of network/wireless card do you have in your computer?
