    Lightbulb Private Dev feedback forum

Given the significant changes to the game mechanics that have been happening and the even bigger upcoming changes, I would like to suggest the creation of a private distillation forum for feedback to the devs.

Eladrin and Madfloyd probably have a pretty good idea of 5 or so key players to get the group started and act as coordinators. They could then recruit how ever many other people to help with gleaning key feedback from the regular forums to be discussed and distilled down to a managable weekly summary post that any of the devs could read and get a sense of what was being talked about.

Links to the associated threads could be included so that hot topics could be browsed directly.

The weekly summary posts could be posted to the regular forums along with any Dev feedback. I am sure this isn't a perfect idea, but the recent participation of Eladrin in the various forums has been really awesome and some way to get issues to the devs directly from the players that doesn't require them browsing ever post seems like it would be great for both the players and the devs.

Another option would be to let the representative be elected/nominated by the players... T

Some competing MMORPG games have a system where every 2-4 weeks there's a forum thread for Ask The Devs, and people reply with questions then vote for their favorites, and the top 3-5 questions receive a semi-detailed developer reply.

That could be a good way to convince players that the devs are actually paying attention to widespread questions, without being likely to overwhelm and distract the designers.

I assume "Ask The Devs" is only half of it's full title?

The other half could be something like:

"for some of what they're smoking."
"were they drunk at the time?"
"who told them THAT would be a good idea."
    "did you test this first?"

    ...and so on.
