Default Horc Barb, to little feats to be worth it?

So Im going to make my Human barb fat. What I liked about the human was I could take the THF line, toughness and stunning blow, as well as the healing amp (heal scrolls would hit me for 330+, aura crits 120+, I would live where WF die). Now with the TR I only get a measly 7 feats; cleave, IC:slashing, PA, THF, ITHF, GTHF and toughness. Leaving no room for the barb past life and stunning blow, a feat I used all the time in epics.

So at first I thought I would drop ITHF and GTHF because a toon with no ac should never stand still, but apparently glancing blows stack on top of your regular blows to single targets, alot of DPS while tanking.

Also I could take 2 levels of fighter but I need to figure if losing the capstone is worth the rage which someone told me stacked on top of the barb rage.

The Third option is to go pure fighter and take a bunch of toughness's, although I dont ever want barb fatigue, and im to lazy to drink restore pots all the time, so it seems a waste of a past life.

If based on the way barb pastlife works currently (It's not working as intended though):
Horc 20barb without pastlife: +6 str (starting, enhancement and Horc power rage)
Human 20 barb with pastlife: +4 str, +4con and toughness
Horc 18barb/2ftr with pastlife: -4str(capstone and mighty rage) +11str (as above, plus fighter str) and toughness

A fighter splash also loses the 10% base damage bonus on glancing blows, but acquires haste boost I.

So a pure Horc barb without pastlife actually has more str than a human with pastlife... but yeh it's kinda difficult for a pure horc barb to fit in pastlife feats.

A way to go around it, if you use MinII GS predominantly, is to drop IC slash... although the gain doesn't necessarily make up for the loss

If you plan to keep TR'ing for more past lives, then your next should probably be fighter anyway. I prefer 18/2, mostly for the sprint.

    So looking at horc 18/2 once I've hit 60 shrouds, this will give;
Horc PA +3 dmg -3 to hit
6% more on glancing blow magical damage
    +4 orc melee damage
+1 damage +1 to hit orc power rage
orc str +1 dmg +1 to hit
    +1 to hit/dmg from 20 str
so 9 dmg +0 to hit from orc

+1 str ftr level so maybe .5dmg .5 to hit
    15% attack speed for 20 seconds x 7

    not having capstone
    -10% glancing blows -5% magical
    -1 to hit -1 dmg

past life +2 dmg +2 to hit for 30 seconds x1

so total by TRing ill get:
+8.5 dmg -1 to hit, -10% glancing blow damage, +1% magical glancing blows, 30 seconds of +2dmg/to-hit x1, and 20 seconds of 15% attack speed x7 or so, -30% healing amp.

not totally convinced to TR yet

As long as you're using two handed fighting (damage=1.5x modifier, PA damage 2x)...
    Horc PA +3 dmg -3 to hit +6 dmg -3 to-hit
6% more on glancing blow magical damagethis is negligible, generally not worth the enhancement
    +4 orc melee damage
    +1 damage +1 to hit orc power rage +1.5 dmg +1 to-hit
    orc str +1 dmg +1 to hit +1.5 dmg +1 to-hit
    +1 to hit/dmg from 20 str +1.5 dmg +1 to-hit
    so 9 dmg +0 to hit from orc +14.5 dmg +0 to-hit...

+1 str ftr level so maybe .5dmg .5 to hit
    15% attack speed for 20 seconds x 7

    not having capstone
    -10% glancing blows -5% magical
    -1 to hit -1 dmg

past life +2 dmg +2 to hit for 30 seconds x1 For now, what barb pastlife gives is a +4str +4con stacking directly whenever u rage, and extending rage duration by a significant amount. So another +3 damage +2 to-hit

so total by TRing ill get:
+8.5 dmg -1 to hit, -10% glancing blow damage, +1% magical glancing blows, 30 seconds of +2dmg/to-hit x1, and 20 seconds of 15% attack speed x7 or so, -30% healing amp.

It's quite a lot considering not too many thf melee actually hit 100+ damage per swing, so this is 10%+ dps bonus. But yeh losing healing amp is a pity...

I TR'd my dwarf barb into a horc barb. The choice of feats was a difficult one but I decided to drop the THF line. The boost to dps just was not worth all the feats imo.

The feats I remember taking are:

    THF
    PL Barb
Stunning Blow (with no Stun weapon I have a DC of 38 - enough for most none epic mobs, throw on the epic Ratcatcher and that hits 48,enough for most epic mobs).
    Toughness

and something else I cant remember now.

I hit, with a min 2 great axe from shroud, for around 70 damage per swing with crits between 200 and 500 and occasionally huge crits over 1000. No idea why that happens, but it has happened a cpl of times.

Basically, the two handed fighting feat line is not all that great atm so list the feats you really want and then take them.

pure horc barb here, dropped stunning blow, took imp crit when i got alternative to min2, while stunning blow was cool, due to heavy usage of mass hold plus other classes stunning them, monks etc, i havent yet regretted or missed it heavily.

sure, feats are tight, but works for me that way. as for loss of some healing amp, well that loss is not without a gain.
as far as damage goes, horcs are way to go.

Pure Horc Barb also here, I agree with the Stunning blow. I am thinking of crafting a lit 2 weapon but not sure what to make just yet, need to wait until the next update with the change to auto-crits etc and then decide. But when I do I will drop stunning blow for improved crit.

My Horc has a self sustained strength of over 60 and health of 750. When grouping strength goes over 70 (max ever is 74 with my build) and health over 800 (max 892) so the dps is huge as is survivability. I can tank any boss in game without worrying about dieing aslong as I got a decent healer ofc.

    thanks for the replies,
I forgot that they are going to change auto crits, I guess this will be a big factor in whether or not to take stunning blow.
