Farming Pirates is slow , slow slow

Speed up the process of reopening Crystal Cove by

buying Pirates Grog ( pretty cheap from the barter box )
Drink It
Go any run Kobold assault 60+ maps per run , can be done very quickly on a capped toon

Get back in the CC for more greenshards !

That was the only thing that made getting dubloons bearable last time. Pirate Grog is proof Jesus loves us!

You can also wander Three Barrel Cove or Cerulean Hills (or any explorer area with a lot of humanoids) and kill mobs there, but I find that to be slower than running quests. I've had better luck with Irestone than Kobold Assault, and I can "harvest" more maps over time with an arcane caster, since the spawns are not dependent on respawn time and are in tight groups in predictable locations.

The only drawback is you won't get any of those Pirate Loot chests...

...and if you're a melee trying to get a few runs in before your grog runs out you could end up with very sore fingers!
