I joined this guild because of the OP's posting here. My guild was/is going to ****.
I have and will continue to donate to my new guild because The EE have made me feel more than welcome and a part of something again.
No one forces any donations on anyone. As far as I have seen they all have been freely given.
As for the so-called can of worms we opened, actions speak louder than words and we have a good group of competent players who love the game. Give us a chance and we will prove you wrong.

We the leadership of the evil empire have had and still do have a donations policy.. Plat does not fall from the sky and our outlook on it is we do not want beggers,freeloaders,or non family members in the guild period.. All the complaining sounds like people want everything for free and not help out.. Your renown means nothing to us we cant stand people freeloading... Now to the donations program we and have done many times after a toon is known as a donations helper WILL buy then what ever they need as for weapons and gear so trust me alot more plat comes out of my pocket than goes in... Whinners will not be let in guild very simple policy if ya dont like it dont run with us very simple and to thoes that know us and like us its cause we are not kids we are players that love to beat the game and if you want to fail run with someone that isnt evil empire then thanks signed GNOMEYS LEADER OF THE EVIL EMPIRE AND IM ON ALL DAY WITH 23 ALTS SO COMPLAIN his fav phrase is " SOUNDS LIKE A PERSONAL ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT UP WITH LEADERSHIP" ENJOY.... I remember running a lowbie with a couple of your clods in redwillows. Your dudes were *****ing cause I opened a chest "too soon" and ruined your chances of getting the "epic" gear out of there.. seriously...

Calling your guy's overreaction to the stuff that drops out of there (4-5 months ago) somewhat intellectually and emotionally dysfunctional would be an understatement. The few times I've run with your guild has been a waste of time. If you are truly trying to recruit new peeps to your guild, try to actually add some skill and knowledge to your game to go along with that unwarranted attitude.

If you talk the talk, make sure you can actually walk the walk....

Oh, how I'm reminded of my days as an English teacher and how I had to fail students who had never had proper introductions to periods, commas, independent clauses, and other such stuff.

On a related note, I'm in a top guild on Argonnessen (lvl 67 guild full of great players), and we certainly don't have a donation system. But I guess I've never been in a great guild, so I wouldn't know if a donation system is standard or not...
