What do you guys think of the spell pen improvements to the elven arcanum line?

Will it create a niche for high spell pen Elf Wizs (especially on first life)?

id like to see them buff elven arcanum so that it gives 200 or so total sp

id like to see drow buffs to DCs.

but thats just what id like...

i mean if i really branch out, i wish that elven arcanum somehow makes nuking a viable form of damage :], unlike the DDO weaksauce "nukes" (really, there more like the spammable spells in other games, except you cant spam them)

you've misunderstood.

drow get spell *resistance*, not spell penetration.

the new and improved elven arcanum enhancement lines will improve spell penetration (there's a dev post kicking around somewhere about it), ie the ability to get through mobs' spell resistance.

Considering you meant drow spell resistance:
The spell resistance enhancements for drow were ridiciously low, which was a waste of Action Points. Now its better =D

It is nice. But probably the cost will be : 1/2/3/4

And Wizards don't have free AP. That why this change almost nothing.

But it is nice that Dev want to improve Elf Wizards. I’m sure that every Elf who play now Wizard will be happy

well, to be fair, a decent number of wizards take a bit of spell pen enhancements, and if it is 1/2/3/4 then it's basically cheaper than the spell pen enhancements, plus comes with a bit of SP. i expect it would get used fairly often... or at least, fairly often for those who actually make elf wizards. for the rest of us who like hit points, not so much obviously :P
