old Ioun Stone

So I have had this Pink and Green Ioun Stone burning a hole in my Bank for a while, I finally figure out what to do with it, except it is so old it doesn't have "suppressed powers".

Is there anyway to upgrade these old stones?

I thought there was but don't see anything.

Nope. Just throw it on the AH, someone will spend too much on it.

extensive review says a few of them without the supressed power listing can be upgraded anyway. haven't seen word one way or the other on the version you have however. if you don't intend to sell it, you could always go about giving the upgrade a shot and see, you might get lucky and find it works.

*references come predominantly from commentary on pale lavender and vibrant purples some have claimed upgraded in spite of being the old versions. search diligently on these forums and you would have found upwards of 5 threads between the two types containing such claims, some with more then one claimant.

Actually I had forgotten that old Ioun Stones could be from the era before suppressed powers and tried to upgrade it and was stumped why it wouldn't let me upgrade it. So I can confirm using the standard process that this particular Pink and Green Ioun Stone cannot be upgraded.

I also tried the stone of change, cause I remember some old posting on that, but no luck. My hope was there was a recipe I had to follow in the stone of change.

I'll just pick up a new one off the auction house or trade.

Maybe wait until the new crafting system comes out. You could deconstruct the old ioun stone and see what comes out the other end. Could be "refreshed" by the process and you would get a new type with supressed powers.
