I think what he was trying to say that the economy did not tank after such a disaster, but it came out wrong.
He is a devout heavy republican who wants to run for congress next session (i think) so this will be played out pretty heavy on the dem side for sure....
I watch these guys all the time and I can tell you Larry has lambasted many people for 'saying something stupid' both in economics and in politics....now he will learn how it feels to take a mistake and run with it to try to ruin someone...

I've read comments that more or less blame Obama for the powerplant explosion vis the fact that GE contributed to his campaign and built the power plant (20 years ago or something).
Politics just makes people stupid and money doubles the effect - if politics is the enhancement, money is the superior potency item.
