    Default Nein, Nein, Nein.

This is just horrible. I'm not going to use a partially done translation. This is not a professional way to offer foreign language services, it does not deserve the name beta.

A general problem is still the Quest List. Either you translate every quest, but then it can be difficult to get in touch with other players. Or you do not translate quest names at all. None of those has been done.
"Ein Relikt aus der Souverign Past" is just hilarious and embarrassing.

Also, there are lots of untranslated parts of the game, such as Locations, Names and Voiceovers. (The latter one is a known localization issue.)

Some faulty translations in particular (this might be )
"(Kampf): Mumien Verwesung von "Mummy Guardian" Effekt wurde von du entfernt."
There is one Punctuation mistake and one grammar mistake in this sentence. And this is only the first line which occured to me while logging in my bard who had a trip to the sands recently.

the foremost thing i want to know right now is: HOW can i change it back to the english client ?
seriously, most of this translation is awful gibberish.
abusing the users for beta(alpha would be more like it)testing? no thnx...
unless i do have an option to reactivate the english client, or play with an at least HALF done translation(and not something your casual translation website spills out), i wont be playing ddo anymore.
this is a punch right in the face. a HARD punch...

and whats with this employee in charge for the translation?
didnt you ensure he actually learned german somewhere?
did he simply lie to you on his job interview?

Before logging in with the user name and password, make sure you switch from DE to EN at the top right of the window, near the minimize button.

the clip is pretty funny btw. i know germans a hard language to translate into, but thats just one more reason to get someone on the job whos capable of finishing the task.
instead of, letz say, leaving it to your best-pals nephew. -.-

the translation is a big try, but doing it soo horrible is a shame!
Whoever got money for it should be sued :-)

Loginscreen : There is written "benutern" it schould be Benutzername or so

Serverscreen : There is written "Zlettz gespielt" it should be "Zulest gespielt"

How can such major faults be on the first 2 pages:-)

Now i´m off gathering more ingame faults ..
By the way, the one translated the quests must have rly been stoned :-)

Do we get tp for those bug reports?

No, that would be too expensive for them.

than the one doing it should attend a german class or so :-)

Actually most parts are done good, 75% of ingame text even transports the feeling a bit.
And most fault amuse more than they annoy
Like some Quest Translation .. i´m still laughing my head of, but without any possible reward .. well call me selfish .. but i have better things to do

If it makes you feel any better, they correct punctuation and grammar mistakes in the English versions all the time.
The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.

It looks like they tried to do direct English to Deutsch instead of having someone who knows the language and grammar syntax do it. Most 3rd party translations sites try to do word for word, like it is in the sentence.

Nice try Turbine, but I'll keep the English!

I don't think that there is a toggle. If there isn't, You either have to delete and reinstall, or rename you current DDO folder then reinstall.

Erm, there's a button right on the launcher that lets you pick your language.

Really, that's cool. I unfortunately only speak one language so me checking the new stuff out is completely pointless.

That is why I said "I don't think" and "if there isn't".

My assumption was based on Turbine's record for not making things easy, and what I have read on the forum. Good to know Turbine isn't as bad as I thought.

Is this what you mean, Karl?

EDIT: Before anyone jumps to conclusions, I instantly thought of the movie, and not the character nor the person..... don't go there.

I set up a thread to help gather all of the additional localization feedback here. The focus this week will be to gather as much as possible so that we can update it this month - we have gathered a great many already during Lamannia and they are still working on those that were already submitted. Follow me to the thread! (und Deutschsprachigen ist erwünscht, trotz mein schlechter grammatik. Mitkommen mich )
