Where can an Epic Geared Monk fit in GS items? The only things I can think of are Shuriken/Kamas.

Every spot on my gear list except my Trinket is planned atm, so should I even try fitting in a +45 HP item?

I have the epic von helmet, (+7 wisdom) and the monk rings which are +6 wisdom...

when I find myself in a situation where I need the hitpoints, I swap in the GS Helmet... I lose 1 wisdom, which can be 1 ac/dc... for nearly 50 more hitpoints which can be very very useful in certain situations.

The best you can do is use GS as a swap item, even if its a 45hp accessory.


Figure out which item you would typically wear gives you the least benefit, and there you go. Found your swap slot.


For my warforged monk, I settled on belt for 45hp and goggles/monk weapons for clickies. Losing +2 dmg from beserker set and mentau's goggles situationally, but had to fit them in somewhere.

I wear GS hp boots...I know! Sacrilege! That spot is for madstones!

The only time you have to swap boots is ToD, and losing the hp there not so big a deal since you shouldn't be getting hit anyways (there should be a tank holding aggro).

Losing out on madstones is sad, but I'd rather have the +45 hp at all times (and the Air guard, which can be nice), then 40 hp sometimes, even it could be 80 hp for 2 mins during a boss fight. Also, as a light monk, a lot of my finishers can get turned off if raging (doesn't matter most of the time, but still).

Of course, I'm a dex based monk, so that +2 str isn't so important to me...can't say the same for Str based monks...

no offense but it would be much easier to give advice on what to wear if we knew your gear setup.
personally i would put it either in the helm or the cloak or the goggles slots possibly bracers but it depends heavilly on your goal with the build and the other gear items. if using event lvl 20 tier 3 gloves then tharnes goggles are much less critical however if you plan to use epic claw gloves and bracers helm is more open so it really really depends on the other gear slots.

Gloves-Epic Brawling(atm will switch to Epic claw when attained)

Belt-epic belt of moronan

Boots-Firestorm, striders, balance, madstone, boots of anchor etc. Whatever i need at that moment

Bracers-Epic Jidz tetka

Cloak-Min2 hp item

Necklace-Shintao cord

Ring 1-Kyoshis band with holy burst

Ring 2-Connors band or any +7 Tod ring will work with shocking burst.

Goggles-Tharnes. This is a great place for a UMD item to switch out at will or some GS Haste clickies.

Trinket-bloodstone (will be epic soon)

I have GFL, Exceptional con, +6 charisma sloted on my epic items thus far.

Im also going to have the epic time sensing goggles crafted if i can ever pull the seal (of all things) to switch out as needed. Nice haste clickies and +1 to DCs/AC.

You probably don't need Min2 if you have belt of mroranon... I'd go for blur or guard cloak
