Cool Redesigning lvl 20 sorcerer with wooden heart, need build & item suggestions

    Hi guys,

Have a pretty useless 28 build human sorcerer at lvl 19 that is about to level up. Once at lvl 20, I will use a wooden heart (already bought) to redo with no changes in race, class etc, just need to redesign to be a kick arse combat sorcerer specailizing in fire and cold.

So far I've been following the arcane cannon build that you can see here
    http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p...&postcount=373

If you know a better build fora fire/cold combat cleric, please post the build url

If you have any recommendations for unique items that I can use, please also post any info/urls.

Really looking forward to making a good character so your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    tihocan build is pretty solid.

This his end feat (15/18) choices are poor imo.

    SF: Evocation + spell pen?
Makes you very average at both.. Better to specialize in 1 way currently.

Either double evocation (pure nuke build), or
double spell pen (still great nukes + better at CC/debuffs vs SR mobs)
Tho currently neither are great choices for current endgame content except for the few off quests where nukes are very effective (mostly refuge content imo).. Best endgame builds are either:
Double necromancy (for elite, especially IQ/DD/Amrath)
    or
    Double enchantment (for anything epic)

toughness is also debateably a poor choice. But really depends on your playstyle and skill as a player. If you consider yourself a very fast twitch skilled player that can react fast to damage to self heal, its not needed. If your perhaps a bit slower on the draw, the extra hp buffer will help keep ya alive.

I'd keep an eye out for Eladrins upcoming post on elemental savant too, youll want to plan for whatever that may require.. As if its anything like other recent PrEs, it will be well worth getting.

Shade beat me to the idea of waiting to use your heart until the new pre's are announced. I'd also say he hit the mark in his sugguestions. Hope you can wait until the announcement.

Hi Shade, thanks for a great response.

I don't understand half of the terminology you used so I tried doing searches with out much luck.

Double enchantment & Double necromancy??? found a few references to this in old friends but don't know what it is. Do you have an url to an info page?

Found this thread below on elemental savant, sounds great. Exactly what I want.

Ok, so when I hear back from you, i'll do some more reading. Any idea when those posts will be out?

In the mean time I'll get xp to level up to 20.

Any one have a url to loot list for sorcerers? If I can get a list, then I can do some grinding.

    Double enchant or necromancy:
I'm just refering to the feat choices at level 15 and 18. Generally I reserve those 2 for Spell Focus Feats. So you pick spell focus enchanment at 15 and greater spell focus enchantment at 18 = Double enchanment focus build.
    And vice versa for Necromancy.

The thread you linked is just the pen and paper version of elemental savant.. The ddo version will be rather different im sure.

Either way tho, the requirements will likely be easy to respec into so I wouldnt worry. Genreally they just require a single feat + a selection of enhancements.
