Default Forums - Put it back

Before when you were looking for any build advice, you would be into the class forums to look around. I would organize the thread by number of posts, and sift through the most popular topics. Then If I had more specific questions I would search that thread for the relevant information. I NEVER had a problem finding what I was looking for and all the information was specific to what I was looking for.

Now, Its hard to find anything. Sifting through class information you have no interest in is just stupid. I don't care what clerics and FS are talking about I'm looking for wizard posts (just an example). It makes coming here for new players just a real mess. If I were new, and was trying to build a character this change would really negativity impact my experience. Making things harder to find is a bad idea.

If there was a valid reason to make the change, please DEVS, let us know. Don't say "house keeping" because everything was labeled and in its own place before. All nice a neat. Now its all clustered together. You mentioned traffic, as your main reason. Whats wrong with a low traffic sub forum? If you give us a real answer for the reason it would stop all these posts in their tracks. Instead you just say, let the dust settle and give it a try, nothing is permanent.

So my suggestion is for you Turbine to give the real reason for the changes and we can all move on.

If this change saves you money, then say so, you having more loot is good for us all. Just some answer would be nice.

And yes, I've read through most of the threads about it, and the reasons I see are
    Traffic
    User feedback
    Housekeeping
    More exposure to threads

None of which I see are WAI.

Not liking the reason dosent make it false. Well, unless you are in an elected position.
The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.

I don't believe "house keeping" was the reason.

I don't care necessarily what the reason was, I just want to know the story behind it. So if traffic was the issue, why is it bad to have low traffic in the ranger forum. What was gained with the new format?

My point I suppose was a better explanation would have stopped the madness.

We've made some changes today to our forum category layout to make it easier than ever to discuss DDO and find topics of interest

These changes reflect feedback based on user experience, and player suggestions.

Restructuring the forums is like cleaning your house - the first bit after you do it, you can't find anything because you're used to the organized chaos with your shoes laying under the dining room table, your laundry being in a pile in the corner, and your papers strewn across your desk.

    Talking I hath spoken

I think the change is just awful from an organizational standpoint in regards to the class forums. Finding specific information on a class is cumbersome with the new layout and I would like to see things reverted.

I like the grouped forums, but I would also like a better filter. I like seeing all melee, but there should be an easy (not search based) way to see only Fighter threads, for example. The old threads with absent posters need a way for us current posters to add a tag to them.

Still, I think turbine was honest in their reasons for the change.
