Justice still had alot of Cliff Burton music on it. Once that gold mine dried up and Dave stopped allowing them to gank his riffs, it was over. Their long term shot at alternative music failed. Notice they are going back to their hard core roots, or at least trying to do so nowdays. That whole rhythm rock radio grab was just a fad, and I feel they should have stayed closer to their roots ~ Exodus, Megadeth, Flotsam and Jetsam, and other bands that lost members to Metallica or were started by members of Metallica, heh. Generations of cult status is better than 6 years of solid radio play and then being tossed into the "classic rock" genre, LOL.'

Their current engineers still cant produce an album to the production quality of Master, and that was done in the 80s on analog gear, with beat up taped together guitars with self installed pick ups.

Chai you rule man. I agree completely though. Megadeth, Exodus, and Testament continue to put out solid thrash. That is leagues ahead of Metallica. And is produced better. Granted if Metallica got smart and used Andy Sneap they would sound better too.

Im not sure if I would go that far. Megadeth's Endgame record was the most ****ed off Dave has been in close to 20 years. But I do agree metal comes from the angry place.
