I don't really think firing Charlie Sheen is such a big deal. He sucked.

Of course ever since the show stopped he has slowly became a hero the rest of us can laugh at.

Im not sure but I dont consider the forums a source of entertainment personally. I do find some of the posts entertaining but the forum itself is just a message board. Its the caramel and nouguty filling in the snickers bar that makes it good not the wrapper!!

    Bad ideas in entertainment:
    Oprah
    Disney on Ice
    The reality network
    Lady Gaga
    Corporate radio

For a game that requires as much clicking to make things happen to have to click a few more places in the forums shouldn't irritate the collective carpal tunnel syndrome of everyone who reads and posts on the forums.

p.s. WKRP still funny in reruns. All spinoffs are junk.

Eh. He was entertaining, and I don't care about what he's doing in his personal life, even if it is very public. He was fired because being a reckless drug addict is a huge liability for something that's relying on your being available to do things...like film new shows.

So they were afraid he would not be available to film new shows so they fired him and NOW they can NOT film new shows...

Not sure if that was the best move on Lorre's part...and breaching of CONTRACT!

    Glee. Yes, i went there.
So thats what happened... I was wondering why Adult Swim lost me. I was enjoying it back in the 2000's when I would get home from work about when it started and enjoy the first set of comedy rolling over into action. Futurama, Harvey Birdman, Venture Brothers, Lupin the 3rd, Big O & Cowboy Bebop probably my favorite lineup I ever saw on there.

HUGE fan of the Venture Brothers and bebop, Big fan of Futurama, thought Harvey Birdman and Lupin the 3rd were fun, and didn't quite "get" Big O. I strongly agree that Adult Swim has lost its way, though.

Can we add the 4th Indiana Jones (Indiana Jones and the Death of a Franchise, i think it was called?) to the list? Bad movies are bad. Bad movies that destroy cherished childhood memories and a legendary cinematic legacy are worse.

I just cant agree. But yes if you like softer music I can see how you would say that. If you actually listened to metal or thrash then Im not sure you would see it that way. The Black album wasnt much of a metal record let alone a thrash record. But it is catchy and radio friendly. Hence why fans who merely dabble in the heavier side of life tend to enjoy it. Though in its defense My friend of misery has one of the best basslines Metallica have ever written.

OP. I would put the some kind of monster dvd and Saint Anger over the black album. That and Metallica firing their best song writer Dave Mustaine. Granted the rest of the thrash world won on that because he founded Megadeth. Who have been writing better music than Metallica ever since.

Ditto Firefly and Enterprise (and the comment about the Nazis), and Jar-Jar.

Add to that canceling Sports Night - great show from the late 90s.

    UDR Loot Rules:
    1) No griefing people for pulling loot that dropped in their name
    2) When rolling, classes for which the item is "useful" get +10 to the roll
example: Wiz and Barb both roll on a Torc, the barb saying "I'm TRing into an arcane next week"
Wiz gets +10 on his roll

Cancelling Veronica Mars and Heroes deserve honorable mention as well.

I personally loved Home Movies, and was equally ecstatic about Metalocalypse. As shockingly violent as it was, it happened to be equally clever. I wish they had continued with either one.

Sorry but IMO the absolute worst idea is that it is ok to remake all of the most popular movies ever filmed.

Wait my bag that would actually be a lack of ideas.

Same with DS9...DS9 in the lase few seasons was dark, gritty, the cap was cool and I liked the various inter-personal relations.

If VGR was filmed with the captain AND her coffe AND A PALL MALL...then I would have gotten that series....

    YES ENTERPRISE was...gone too soon!
I though TNG took off in season five. Although I liked all of it.
DS9 was great after Worf came over. Unfortunately the one thing I did not like about DS9 was the Bajorins(sp) Which was a major part of the show. The bad guys were awesome.
Voyager had a crew I did not like. (except the Doctor...and Tuvok.) But was actually a good show. if you can overlook Janeway. Once they got into Borg territory there were many very god episodes.

Enterpise. Got great in the middle of season 3. And any old ST fan would love season 4 IMO. Sadly that was the last.

Funny to me that all four of the NG STs took about four years for the actors to really develop their char's roles. Yet TOS got their chars down in only about three shows!

They were still a very good band afterwards.....just different.
