Whats going on in the world of Sarlona?

Whats going on here, it doesnt appear like the server i once knew it to be, from what I could gather all peeps do nowadays is get into endless boring trs, getting into stupid arguments over useless loot, being ****ed to be invited to quests that give no xp............

All this is making me second-guess my decision to try to get back into the game that i once so loved.

I will try to log on for real sometime later to check it out, but the forum certainly isnt showing any encouraging signs, I mean ppl are digging up goodbyes threads from a year ago and talking about ac/dr, good lord~

What you read here on the forums is not 100% reflective of what is ACTUALLY going on right now on the server. There are still plenty of positive things going on. Sarlona still has a really nice and very helpful community. PUGS are usually pretty good and can be a lot of fun too. What you read here is a small percentage of what is really happening. I'm not sure how long you've been away, but there is also some cool new content with solid items.

Come back and play some. If you have fun, by all means, stay! It's a game and should be fun. If not, then you can always find something fun for you to do.

before anymore peeps misunderstand the intention of this thread, I will just clarify I have no ill feelings towards the state of the game (or the forum for that matter). the purpose of the thread was just gonna say hi to a few acquitences of mine on this server that happen to be forum junkies.

Actually I dont think much of anything has changed for the half a year that I have been gone, still the same peeps putting up some good drama on forum and still bunches of new comers figuring their way through the game, still that group of ddo addicts grinding through quests for trs and epic gear, all in all nothings changed, just slightly more content and different gear combo available

If what you are saying is true(which i seriously doubt), the fact that you never bothered to complete an epic quest or raid for almost half a year says it all: you dont want/need those completions.

things are better in my personal life i suppose otherwise i wouldnt have the time to come to this stupid forum, i will hopefully see some real action next week after a couple more things fall into place.

Glad to hear things are better, hopefully they are approaching good Im pretty busy actually with school and the kids, and have been on less then I would like, but still more than is prolly good for me

I need to improve my piking, I keep having to work for my epic completions.

Man I just had a lulzy drunken series of Epic Red Fens last night. No healer. The sorc was calling itself a cleric (heal scrolls ftw), the monk and the fighter were just plain nuts and when a FvS finally did show up we all jokingly called him a DPS. Much lulz were to be had as we completed.

Oh yeah, good times characteristic of the server.

I am one who pugs alot (loves the pain)
It is terrible at all levels now... failing epic von6 is common.
On a good day you have a 10-15% the pug will be ok.
1% chance pug is good enough where you can pike.

Before F2P pugging wasnt too bad... everyone knew the few people to avoid, but now the squelch list/friends list is not big enough.
I am now forced to avoid several guilds and use myddo on everyone.

But yes tr's and grinding epic gear is keeping me around, but I am just hoping for Druids or a new MMO with same combat system.

If you plan on coming back, run with friends because pugging is not fun (which is probaly true for any server).
