Default Testing out TPICKRELL's monk forum idea

Seeing if I can bookmark a string of monk related threads in a search so I don't have to do the search every single time. With only one thread prefixed monk it was impossible to tell but have the thing bookmarked now and if this thread shows up I think we can at least have the semblance of the monk forum back over time . I would like to thank Tpickrell for coming up with this.

Edit: Seems like it doesn't work the original link I bookmarked, while it worked when there was only TPICKRELL's original thread does not work now with my thread up That just means that I will have to use the advance search option for all monk prefix'd post every time, not terrible but definitely less convenient then before this change

    Try this one:

    http://forums.ddo.com/search.php?searchid=13155239

I just went to advanced search, used the prefix, then bookmarked the resulting search. I've no idea how long this search string sticks around but it's worked across two browsers, one signed in and one not. I've saved it as a favorite and seems to work ok.

If that particular link doesn't work, you could probably make your own.

That is the same thing as I did but when I made my thread the link stopped working :/

edit: Also when I follow your link it says that it was generated 10 mins ago which further seems to prove that it is dated

Working here... let's see how long it sticks around. The search string may not be valid longer than a few minutes if inactive.

Nah just did a second one: http://forums.ddo.com/search.php?searchid=13155335 see how this one has 28 options (at the showing results 25 of 28 part) while yours have 26 options, which I have clicked after. It works but the searches do not update

Yeah, I'm seeing it now. So the search is saved but only contains information that is current at the time the search was run. That's a right bugger.

Oh, well. At least we tried. It looks like you can bookmark the advanced search page but that's a pretty kludgy way to go about it.

And the link timed out in under an hour as well, so unfortunately no go on this one.

See my post for how to do this. In particular, the Monk "forum" is http://forums.ddo.com/search.php?do=...e[]=Monk01, but you have to bookmark that URL, not the URL you get taken to when you click.

That URL generates a new result list every time you click it. The other links in this thread all go to specific result lists that eventually expire.
