Hi!,
Looking to make a decent guard item for my next GS and I can't decide between the lower damage but higher proc radiance guard or high damage low proc rate of the lightning storm. I was also considering aspect of steamII as the guard damage is untyped. I may end up ditching the damage guards all together for now and doing an earthgrab guard, as its much easier to make and useful in epics, but I'm kind of partial to damage guards as its just more my style. Any constructive feedback would be appreciated. Thanks all.

I don't know *too* much but what about a Disintegrate guard? Or is this not an option on what you are crafting? I don't know about the proc rate but I believe it is 450 damage, no save, unless I am mistaken.

I had looked at it, but had assumed that since the spell Disintegrate has a save that so would the guard. If there is no save then thats the way to go as it would fit for flavor as well.

The dmg on radiance guard it's rather meaningless, it's really the blinding effect that makes it very useful.
Lightning storm / disintegrate guard are fun when they proc, but it doesn't happen often, so they're definitely rather pointless in epics.
