to best describe what is occurring, take a screenshot of any in game screen(loading, char select, ingame) and cut out the all but a band 1/4-1/3 of its width from the left and bottom, then zoom whats left. that which would be left is all i can see in fullscreen or windowed mode.

i cannot access options, or character creation,login,quit, etc from login screen. when logging into an already created character the same thing occurs, and accessing the options menu using esc, the mouse interactions are offset from the cursor position, and i cannot even click or interact with the top items in the graphics options menu.

i have tried reinstalling directx9c, and the game itself on the machine in question, and looked at ati,com for new drivers(it directs me to use a catalyst suite from november 2006. h.i.s. radeon 7000 card). the machine is running windows xp, and frankly i'm at a loss on this one. repeated searches haven't found me any inquiries of quite the same nature for ddo, so here i post hoping someone might have a hint or two.

things are fine on my main equipment in spite of technically worse hardware( hp/compaq presario tc4400- ie intel gma950),and no using the launcher(which works fine) to reset graphics options on the affected machine, has zero effect.
