Our tank was Norg on his Hurtlocker variant Grumblegut who tanked Horoth elite from start to finish, never getting close to dying, never losing aggro. Very limited time for the other melee to engage. We did initially put Escariot on trash for a bit just in case, but well he''s Escariot; and we never knew when Lacer had to afkquickformoreSoCo .

Was in the run, and Norg did a great job. +1 to Norg. Great job everyone else as well. It's not everyday you see a rogue tank Horroth on Elite. Acutally it happens about never.... til Norg comes along lol. Nothing more to say other then awesome job.

Thank you. It was alot of fun. We also killed Sulu and got the Sulu chest as well. .. I think we will be doing alot more elite's with sulu in the future and not just with Grumblegut, but also with some of the other guys I group with. They can put out some ac type characters with either some modification to their build/gear they have or they are all ready to go. Ac of 90+ is where you want to be. That just blows away barbarians trying to tank Horoth as long as you can maintain aggro and have decent hit points with high fort save (40+ is nice for disintegrate on a 1).

I will post an abbreviation of the build variant and put a link to it here. The main differences between the Hurtlocker is Grumblegut is dex based and a halfling. I still hit a 28strength though with yugo pots and could hit a 30 strength with the rage (do not use when tanking) which combined with min 2 rapiers and divine righteousness and defender stance is pretty solid. The hit points for the character is 575 when fully buffed with yugoloth pots not counting rage spell (do not use when tanking). Note: I have weapon finesse, and two toughness feats. I could buy a store con pot and if I get a +4 con tome or +3 con and put exceptional +1 con on there my hit points could hit 615. Ac when raid tanking is between low 90s and a high 90s when uncanny dodge is active.

This character is still lacking with his offensive gear set (does not have shintao ring, red dragon armor, shroud ls2 light picks, making abashi gloves (when I get a chance)), but his defensive gear is pretty complete. I ran Grumblegut in 6 or so epic quests in the past week or two with some random light picks, no shintao set, no shocking gauntlets, no red dragon armor, and did decently when competing with other players kill count wise lol.
