More stuff should be made possible while invisible. Opening chests and doors, flipping switch, pulling levers, picking locks, and disabling traps.

It is easy enough to zerg through a quest while invisible already. Adding on the suggestions would simply remove any need to run a quest visible ever if you could simply bypass all obstacles to waltzing in to the end boss so you could kill him and be done with it in a fraction of the time.
frankly, i'd be happy if ranged attacks actually took into account invisibility.
every time i go invis (due to mabar cloak or spell) casters and archers seem to have
no problem at all attacking my characters.

I wish Shadow Walk stayed during combat, would be very useful if you could get oriented enough to fight on the spectral plane.

I’d settle for the attack penalty and 50% concealment that we should have while invisible. I mean, it’s kind of wierd that a mob can see you when you’re displaced and they get a penalty. But, when they’re not even sure where you are, they take no such penalty.
Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
- Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
- Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
- Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
- Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
- Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.
so upgrading invis so you can do stuff without breaking it
kinda like greater invisibility?
What you mean, invisibility doesn't give concealment, just a -4 penalty, it isn't too hard to blindfight.
When you are displaced the mob see you but you aren't really there, they are effectively fooled.
But when you are invisible they are forced to be watchful and swing wildly, fight back, etc. invis is not much help in battle.
The real benefit of invisibility is to stay out of combat, but if you want to know what improved invisibility would be like try the mabar cloak.
With invisibility guard the monsters actually lose sight of you and begin to swing wildly, i find it really cool but you have to be looking to notice.
Check this out.
Highlighting this part: It has total concealment; even if an attacker correctly guesses the invisible creature's location, the attacker has a 50% miss chance in combat.

greater invis = add to your silent moves, hide and bluff.
ok. i stand corrected on that part, so yeah invis in ddo should give concealment just like shadow walk does.
with displacement the foes can target you directly instead of having to make guesses.
but to its advantage they would be fooled each time without chance of finding you or using see invis.
