    Post Quiver visibility

Make it so that an equipped quiver is visible on the character, but if one wanted to they could make it nonvisible just like helms and armor kits.

even though it would just be for flavor, i think this would be an interresting fluffy idea. Not sure if I'd say its worth the coding since it doesn't do anything to my gameplay experience either way, but hey if they have an hour left with nothing else to do on a lazy sunday I'd take it

The more I play LOTRO, the more I take notice of some of the unpolished edges that still plague DDO.

    ...

Quivers, backpacks and pouches currently exist as "overmeshes", or gear layers, that is, extra bits attached to most body models.

    ...

/signed in the broad sense I'd love to see more cosmetic options for DDO.

The cloak is fairly iconic in d&d and missing in ddo. Not capes, just cloaks with hood, like elven cloaks.

The quiver is usually magical so it is typically small or entirely hidden.
But as far as decorations go, it'd be nice to have special items show, like the abbot's quiver, etc.

Sadly, if cloaks were visible as their current icons, the overwhelming majority of people would be running around with Red Cloaks.

My friend was over tonight, and actually had made note of this. He said that he felt like a Red Shirt on Captain Kirk's Away Team because of it.

I guess I am not one of the overwhelming majority.
Back in NWN1 & 2, only a few of my characters wore red cloaks - if at all.
I would often go with brown, tan or leaf green.
Sometimes a dark blue, or furs, if they were a good fit for the char.

    ...

If memory is serving me right, I've already mentioned this before: just because people tend to gravitate towards a smaller set of popular options, it does not mean we don't need options in the first place.

    ...

Besides, if Crystal Cove hats are to be of any indication, popular hues would be more expensive anyway, effectively weeding out those who won't or can't spend TP on appearance customisation...

I think you're misunderstanding me here...

All non-named cloaks in game, according to their Icon in your inventory, are Red. Charismatic Cloak? Red. Cloak of Protection +4? Red. ... They're all Red, at least right now. Its not until you get into Cloak of Ice, Stormsinger Cloaks, etc, that the Icon graphic starts showing us some different colors.

So *until* they allow Cloak dyes as well as a simple visibility mesh, it would look like Superman/Superwoman mania throughout Stormreach, what with the red-cloaked-ness.

Nah, I was just in a rambling mood, and I trailed off from another thread.
Please, have a +1 cookie, to make up for that.

    ...

Back in NWN2, many random cloaks had the default red icon mainly because builders would not care and change it.
I guess the same happened in DDO.

    ...

I like DDO, but sometimes the lack of polish really gets evident.

Then again, so are all the robe/armor icons.
I think it would be sweet if you could make your cloak visible. As long as there is an option to turn it off.
