Question So who else is taking a break from DDO to

play Dragon Age II? I have it preloaded and ready to play the minute it goes live. Hopefully the story will be better than the first one.

    I haven't decided.

    I will buy it.

I will turn the game on and...

    I'll probably get hooked.

Now, when Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is released in November, I know I will vanish and not just from DDO.

Maybe I should have a friend call and make sure I'm okay after a week...?

    Hmmm?

Speaking of Skyrim, aren't we starting to see a little too much of dragons dragons dragons everywhere in computer games?

But isn't that a good thing?

I mean, personally, I read about em, write about em, watch em on TV and at the movies (when at all possible) and I can now enjoy them in my video games, too. I couldn't be happier.

    Maybe that's just me....

P.S. Don't get me wrong. I love Mass Effect 2 and games like that as well. I'd also love a solid undead type of RPG. You remember Vampire the Masquerade? I'd love something like that but better. Kind of like Guild Wars with undead factions. And our hirelings could all be drooling Igors and glassy-eyed minions. And a Dracolich would be on OUR side. hehe

Went off on a tangent there.

    My bad.

I'll be taking intermittent breaks, I'm sure... way too many good games coming out this year. Portal 2, just for starters.

I'll be playing it & aside from running a couple of raids when off timer I'll probably be gone from ddo for a couple of weeks

Also, nowt wrong with dragons.. though considering the internet's normal loves maybe we should be glad its not a cyborg-zombie ninja dragon? or is that the truthful one's real form...?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

    Question

HAH I got neg rep for the OP, nice. Some basement-dwelling carrion crawler apparently takes offense at the mere insinuation of people playing different games once in a while. Perfect chance to see if the rep abuse appeal system works

ME ME ME ME!!! Except I have to wait until later this week on account of it being a gift for my husband who amazingly seems to have no interest in it now. Oh well, no sharing then.

I've played through the demo about 10 times and monkeyed a bit with the Char Gen.

I'll play through once with default male Hawke. Warrior whirlwind attack is SOOOOOO friggin' sweet!

THEN I'll start a new DA:O/A game and import that for a second play through with a custom female Hawke. Possibly rogue.

As for the story, I thought the Origins story was pretty awesome. 2 feels about the same without the tailoring, but it's too soon to tell.

I haven't yet picked up DA2, but I definitely plan to! I'll most likely be taking at least a few weeks off to play through it.

Otherwise, I plan to play a lot less DDO when:

-LotRO's next update rolls out, I'll probably spend a week or so on it
-Elder Scrolls comes out, few weeks on that I'm sure
-GW2 comes out, unknown how long I'll spend there, I plan to reunite with my guildies from the first game

I probably will continue to log in for guild event nights though.
