Smile Idea of a Melee FVS?

I just bought the class favored soul, im trying to focus on melee and heal-self-buffing figher, so i came up with a
FVS/Figher, i get some bunus feats and more dps, 2h fighting and heavy armor, this are the stats:

    28 points, Human

    str:18
    dex:9
    con:13
    int:8
    wis:8
    cha:14

I´ve got also empower healing spell, by now i am lv 4 Fvs and lv 1 Figher,
is this build solid? i need some feedback.

    yeah!
    win the game!
maybe go 2 ftr for +1 str and you still have mass heal.
dont be the fvs that cant heal others. masses on yourself work good.

As a melee i prefer at least CON 14.

With Human I would dump CHA to a Minimum of 11 so you have more pints to raise CON and/or DEX, but I surely would focus on CON and STR

Made the differences I would use in Red...More HP, and you aren't really going to notice the +1 to-hit and damage anyway. Divine Power spell gives your full BAB so you will be fine imo.

i was thinking to make a 18Fvs/2Figher , dps 2h , armor, and the buffs and heals, maybe the dex could has been higher
, but the str stats (in my opinion) are useful when it comes to battle, and the heavy armor will support that dex .

    thanks for the comment .

In that case, try Half-elf pure FvS with the Fighter dill. You get all the melee martial and marital weapon proficiencies, and a +1 STR enhancement, same as taking the two Fighter levels. You can keep the capstone, and net two additional level 9 spells, and more importantly, DR10/something (depends on faith). You lose 2 feats (3 if human), but really you only need to take PA and IC:Slash for dps. The rest can be spent on toughness, Maximize, Quicken, Extend (for short term buffs like Divine Power/Favor), empower/emp healing.

That DR and capstone, not to mention the two level 9 spell slots, are a hard thing to lose.

You can still use medium armor, including Mithril Full Plate, for while, and the Mith FP may be a much better option for AC even with low DEX; a +6 item will net you some small benefit over normal FP. With a store +2 tome, it will be better. It will become increasingly difficult to net a relevant AC the higher you get, and besides which you can probably make more use out of being hit than not being hit, once you get Con-Opp and a Torc. DR, however, is always useful. The free capstone spell may or may not be useful (Sov Host is free healing).

Also, once you get some gear and levels, you can LR/GR and dump your CHA. You only need 10+spell level, so at least 19 CHA. Each additional +1 CHA mod only adds something like 30sp or so, so those points are better spent elsewhere once you have a +6 item, and a +2 tome and the enhancements.

I'd do as azrael4h suggests as well. Maybe:

    STR 16 + 5 levels + 6 item + 2 tome +1 dilettante +1 HELF
    DEX 8
    CON 16 + 2 tome + 6 item + 1 HELF
    WIS 8
    INT 10 +2 tome
    CHA 14 + 2 tome + 6 item

    1 Extend ***
    3 Toughness
    6 Empower ***
    9 Maximize
    12 Quicken
    15 Improved Crit Slashing
    18 Power Attack

*** You want Empower Healing, but you don't need it to start. Use the Lockania feat-swap to swap out one of these two sometime later for Empower Healing; which is up to you.

For skills: max Concentration and UMD; once you get a tome toss some points into other places like balance, tumble
Ghallanda - now with fewer alts and more ghostbane

To be honest, I wouldn't take Empower Healing until later (and I did, at 15). The exact order, of course, depends on gear; if you have an SoS, then grab Improved Crit first. I still haven't had such luck, so Carnifex is my main weapon still (note, I am extremely undergeared, and basically have only one thing I intend to keep at endgame right now). I took PA at 6, as 10 damage helps a lot. Maximize then Quicken, same feat set as your list, but different order. I don't think I'd drop extend though, since it helps those short term Divine Power and Divine Favors, which are going to help make that PA actually land more than once in awhile.
