    Default Rogue Auto-Critter Weapon Combo

Ok, so right now my auto-critting combo is:

    Main Hand Maiming Rocksplitter
Off Hand +3 Seeker +10 Light Pick of Pure Good

I'm pretty sure I got my math right, but can someone confirm the damage on this setup is gonna be substantially better than two Maiming Rocksplitters? And I'm not talking about sneak attack, strength, etc. Just base weapon damage.

I hope I'm right. I'm effing sick of farming for another hooked blade.

That depends if you have any other sources of Seeker on your equipment (Bloodstone, Arrowhead, Marilith, Festival Stuff). If not, a seeker 10 weapon should be clearly superior to another rocksplitter.

Hooked blades were the easiest part of my dual rocksplitters. The red mark was harder.

Brace for Math (you can skip to the conclusion, if you want to).

    A Maiming Rocksplitter will deal

    4*(5+ 1d6) + 3d8 + 1d6 + 3d6 + 4*seeker + 4*(str and other + damage bonuses), i.e.
    34 + 27.5 + 4*seeker + 4*(str and other + damage bonuses), i.e.

    61.5 + 4*seeker + 4*(str and other + damage bonuses), damage.

On the other hand, a +3 light pick of pg will deal

    4*(3+ 1d4) + 1d6 + 4*seeker + 4*(str and other + damage bonuses), i.e.
    22 + 3.5 + 4*seeker + 4*(str and other + damage bonuses), i.e.

    25.5 + 4*seeker + 4*(str and other + damage bonuses), damage.

For the off-hand, this average damage needs to be multiplied by 0.8, and I'm ignoring the double strike chance here.

What do these numbers mean? They mean that when your only source of Seeker is your off-hand weapon, the seeker weapon will grant +40 damage on your main hand, which is more than the difference between the DPS of another Rocksplitter and that seeker weapon.

Should you already have a +6 seeker item, the +10 will only add +16 damage to the main hand.

    The offhand offers in the Rocksplitter case 0.8*(61.5 + 4*6) = 68.4
and in the seeker case 0.8*(25.5 + 4*10) = 52.4 damage (actually only a difference of the damage, I neglected here all bonuses which are present in both settings)

    Conclusion

Since 52.4 + 16 = 68.4, a +3 seeker +10 light pick of pg will add the same DPS as another Rocksplitter, provided the mob gets damaged by all the weapon attributes (screaming, thundering, PG). With a double strike chance (Opportunist, Inspire Recklessness), the seeker item will actually pull ahead since the +16 damage will be applied more often than only once per swing.

The seeker +10 is my only source (i use another seeker +10 as my normal off-hand). This is what I thought, thank you so much for the math confirmation!
