Default Does the SteelSeries WoW Catacylsm mouse work with DDO?

The SteelSeries WoW Catacylsm mouse has 14 programmable buttons. However, I have heard that many of these only work with WoW.

I would be interested to hear from anyone that uses this mouse with DDO. Are there any compatibility issues?

    Many thanks!

are those functions built in or is there a external program where you can say which mouse does what?

if the latter is true, you can use all buttons with ddo aswell

i'm using that one. it has 17 buttons and the field of 12 mouse buttons is mapped to your num block numbers and can thus be used in any game that allows a free keyboard layout (so basically almost every game)
    btw it's called Razor Naga

btw: all buttons are easily reachable. but ofc it needs some getting used to

And you can easily make macros and bind them to the buttons with the included software.

You'd think that with high-end mice like these, they could at least make them cordless...

It's always a shame when the hammer of poor design choices smashes the fun of player tactical adaptation.

Thanks for all the advice, but the Razor Naga is not an option for me:

I tried it, but had to return it after a few days because it was too small.

I have fairly large hands and found curling my thumb to reach the side buttons (especially no.s 10, 11 & 12) very uncomfortable and just not practical for long playing sessions.

I am currently using the Razor Habu. It's nice and big and fits my hand perfectly. I would, however, like more buttons hence my interest in the SteelSeries mouse (which seems to be approx the same size as the Habu if not bigger).

    *Doh, just noticed your post...

I've been using this for about 2 months now, and it's fantastic.

It's the wireless Naga Epic . Notice the different palm-size grip attachments. The first one actually made it feel too big for me...

exactely because they are high-end mice they are NOT cordless. Cordless introduces additional latency (which isn't an issue for MMORPGs) and they run on a battery. I'v heard way too often "oh ****, the battery of my mouse is dead". which can be fatal if it happens to your healer or tank (ok, tank is not so bad in DDO, but in other games it can also mean a wipe)

Razer is the way to go with Mouse Tech.

I was a boomslang guy, then a copperhead guy, now i am still rocking my old ass diamondback.

Upgradeable firmware in a mouse to keep it current. Awesome.

I would never buy a cordless mouse. Batteries Die.
