Below is what the floppy expansion looked like. I think it also added an extra 6k extended memory. Only one 5 1/4 floppy disk could be used at a time.
Oh wow...that was the first computer I ever wrote a program on. Had the cassette tape deck that you could use for recording programs / data...that brings back great memories (and some terrifying ones when my dad accidentally put one of my program tapes into his car radio and almost deafened himself from the squealing).

Hehe nice. There is one critical thing which is the point and which you are missing

    From the wiki article:

"Many units manufactured since the mid 1980s are still in use today, while the computers and monitors of the day are obsolete."

"Unicomp [the current manufacturer] has had difficulty making them profitable because they rarely break, and most retailers will not stock such an expensive keyboard." (Of course this is not a problem when you find the best keyboard you'll ever own sitting on a disused shelf at your university with a centimeter of dust over it. Needless to say I liberated it and cleaned it up.)

I remember that sound when loading up a saved game of "Tunnels of Doom." For some reason, someone suggested looking into DnD for some reference to game rules. This is when I started playing DnD. "Tunnels of Doom" had noting from DnD so I don't know what that person was talking about.

I use a razer lachesis 9 buttons. but the problem is 2 of the buttons will not bind in keymapping , no matter what i try too bind it too like page down and up- insert -home- what ever . so 12 buttons plus the other 3 thats 15 buttons do you have that problem?

I did the exact trade up form the clunky z-board to the merc stealth.

The keys are great and ive never had them stick, it types like a really good quality standard keyboard, easy to press and quiet, i'd highly recommend it.

Got my merc stealth in the mail today and it is BEATIFUL!!!

Much better action on the keys, quiet, nice colors, just a wonderful experience.

The only problem so far is that the button in the spot that I'm used to pressing on the z-board for blocking/tumbling is hard-mapped to "c". (character sheet) Dunno yet if I'm OK with ctrl-c for character sheet or if it's finally time to play with the z-software.

I just got mine today, too! I guess they worked it out.

I am really flustered trying to keymap 1-20 onto these keys, so I'm just going to log for a while and try to work it out :x

I'm sure it will be awesome eventually but I can hardly fight. Change is bad!!

to the op, i just returned my naga for the wow mouse because the naga was simply too small for my hand and also i didn't like the button layout, this wow one is more ergonomically designed and i like the buttons in different locations as opposed to just all thumb buttons on the left, to set it up to run in ddo was easy after playing with the software a little, first visit steelseries.com/downloads, then when u open the software u just have to map what the buttons do before u open the game. there are 2 ways to do this:

    1) if u want a basic command like select nearest or action bar command 9, they are listed in the side and u just click the buttons on the screen on the virtual mouse and then click the command u want there will a slide out menu on the side for assignment

    2) if u want a more complex command then u can command anything that can be keymapped in-game to one of the buttons as well, so u open ur mouse software and click a button as before then hit custom macro it will give u a little licence message then a blank spot just use a command that u would never use in-game ex: shift+ctrl+alt+f1 and every time u push that button it will do that then when u open the game and go to key mapping go to the command click it and do the same thing

also, u will need to turn the cpi value back up as once the software is installed it will default the mouse back to the lowest cpi value of 800 and it will feel incredible sluggish like them old rollerball joints

Coincidentally, I am returning my Naga today for the same reason - too small and awkward for my hand. Interesting that the Wow mouse worked well for you.

Maybe I've small hands. I got a naga last week to start playing casters more effectively and I LOVE it. Thinking of getting their key pad for the other hand after I abuse that mouse!

im not saying the naga was no good, in fact i almost decided against the switch since the steelseries was $20 more and i actually started to adjust to the naga, but im glad i did because the 17 buttons was just overkill, i now have 14, five on the left for my most frequently used spells, and ones right on the edges of left and right click for selecting enemies and another one for my ring finger which i haven't quite figured what i want to do with (maybe haste). Also it has a customisable led color which i like (even though its not as stylish as the naga) and i still have 3 buttons left with nothing programmed. Also as i mentioned before the shape seems to fit my hand much better which helps during those long hours spent questing. And yeah i have big hands, 8 1/2" from the base of my hand to the tip of middle finger (just happened to have my tape measure sitting right here)

afaik there's nothing special about compatibility, if the buttons can be mapped then it can be used fine.

Only thing I wish that I could do is configure the buttons to something other than the numbers... 1-4 I can easily use on my left hand near W key, just overkill to have it on the mouse too...

After my v1.0 G15 died I looked at the current Gx keyboard but decided I wasn't going to spend almost $200 for a keyboard. I looked at the SteelSeries Merc (picture in a previous post) but decided to go with the Microsoft Sidewinder X6... It's cheaper (about $80), has 3 banks of 30 macro keys (s1-12 on keyboard, s13-30 on keypad) and the best part is the keypad can be moved to either side of the keyboard on the fly (held by strong magnets).

The only drawback I've seen so far is that the dark part of the keys can be worn off, so the backlight shows other than where the letter is, as shown by my "A" and "S" keys.

When I replace them (if possible) I'll spray the new ones with clear Krylon, if there are no averse effects on testing with older keys, or the old standby, clear nail polish.
