Naive of me to think people would actually read the OP beyond the first 10 words.

Honestly, it doesn't bother me. I only ever use plat for scrolls, potions and repair. I hardly buy things from the AH.
Maybe you didn't read my whole OP? I'm suggesting something to stop with this nonsense.
What DOES bother me is everyone going bananas about all this. What also bothers me is so many people being okay with what I deem to be an exploit, yet they treat it as being the most normal thing ever. I just said I don't care because that's not what the merit of the post is supposed to be, but obviously people lack reading comprehension skills or the will to do so.
Not that I didn't expect it though.
Well, I didn't cap my plat off it, but I'll be happy to buy a bunch of heal scrolls and not have to worry about going broke because nobody ever reimburses the Bard. So it's a win situation.
Please split the class forums into REAL subcategories this is a jumbled mess.
No.
This game provides equitable opportunities to folks... it does not nor should not provide equality amungst all players.
Introducing a mechanism that gives out consumables that have never been available before in that form (i.e. potions) is ridiculous.
Here is the real solution... Get over it.
Stop complaining over the loss of a comparable auction house that had very few worthwhile items on it anyway.
Things will be back to normal in a month or two... relax.

I still say that Turbine doesn't care about the in game economy. It cares about making money, which is what a business usually cares about. If the in game economy is broken it is because players broke it. As for me, I didn't profit from the cove. I made some cool items and that is it. I didn't cap my plat. And when I logged on and played the game today ... it was just as fun as it normally is. The only exception ... killing kobolds is less fine. I can now hear them scream "not the face, not the face!" and then I feel bad.
Do people even read? Maybe I should make a suggestion for Barbarians to not be illiterate. Too many barbs on the forums I suppose.
Lol... I'm gonna miss the kobolds, that's for sure
I agree, game is the same for me, not the forums though... Too much nuisance about "borken economy".
I will say again: I don't give a diddlysquat about the AH, don't use it. My plat goes into scrolls/potions/repairs only. I didn't cap my plat, nor would I were I given another opportunity to do so.
I know it's "broken", not "borken", I'm referring to the other posts in the forum, but some people apparently can't read. What honestly bothers me are people who have nothing useful to say and decide to try and bash me because they didn't pick up on the wordplaying.

Kaeldur, I like your posts on this subject and generally agree with your point of view. The problem is that everyone is sick of talking about this. Childish bork jokes are all we have left in us.
Your suggestions are solid, although I'm not sure about the enhanced pots. I would prefer that they add a plat sink that has no impact on in-quest performance... like a limited edition armor skin. Although they make their money on that stuff, so I doubt it will happen.
Before turbine points, there was a living plat economy. Now there are turbine points, if I worked for turbine it would be in my interests to find ways to devalue the plat economy. This is a good way, as it can be blamed on the community.
It's a game. GAME! Only a game. say it with me now - GAME. There. That's better.
