    Unhappy Mage Armor glitched?

Hey guys,Im a Archmage. My typical AC giving buffs are Mage Armor and Shield. Recently, I've been trying to cast out Mage Armor but never works. Tried it a couple of times today,no raise in my AC. Everyone else having the same problem? o.0

Maybe you have equipped some items that provide +armor bonus? like bracers? light armors? as same kind of AC bonuses will not stack.

I always miss that +4 ac gained from another item.

Maybe you are Warforged . if you are wf you gain only +2 i think. Maybe you have bracers of widow or something like this.

maybe you have Jeeka's spangle (+2 armor ac)...

Honestly...ur an Arcane...learn how to live without AC now...because you're not going to get it high enough to matter later...not without severely gimping your build.

AC is meant for melee builds....and 90% of them know better than to bother with it.

If they ever do something cool like change AC value to something like how it works in LoTRO.....it would be meaningful for everyone....but as it is now in DDO...AC is pretty much useless save for a very small % of characters.

Learn to use ur spell damage, CC, and displacement, and shield blocking in between casting if need be.....it's all u will have at end game, and that is pretty much a guarantee.

Yea, something on your character is giving you a +4 armor bonus. Mage armor won't stack with that.

edit: If you make your wizard public (http://my.ddo.com/Thefiz/) we can look at your gear and tell you what's doing it.

Read the description for Mage Armor. It is self-only.

Also, it's an 'armor bonus' so if you have, say, Black Widow Bracers, or any kind of Bracers of Armor +4 or better, it won't stack.

If you're WF, and a have a +2 or better docent, Mage armor will not provide any further benefit.

Read the description for mage armor. Its self/ally only. Always has been, so you are either wrong or quoting a stealth change no one else knows about.
