There are many ways to go with gear. Here are my main recommendations:

1) Get a Torc out of the DQ raid. The greenblade is very good out of there as well.
2) Get dragon touched armor out of Reaver's Refuge.
3) Don't wear Gauntlets of Eternity, they really only benefit you by helping your static aura, the rest of the time it just goes to overhealing. I put greensteel in my glove spot or you can save the spot for epic red fens gloves (use it for strength in the meantime).
4) Get the two belts out of Amarath that give you superior devotion VIII clickies.

1) Working on the torc already... not really interested in greenblade since Im doing a lot of melee
2) Im actually hoping for blue dragonscale, which would also allow me to trash the gauntlets. I also dont have reavers refuge pack yet, although Im planning to get it as soon as its on sale
3) I like the healing crits on aura and burst, plus it helps with lower mass cures. Epic gloves of the claw look nice once I have a dragonscale to take care of spell crits.
4) Working on these, too, just bought Amrath pack

Another update, another self-necro (maybe I should make some kind of ddo blog?)

I bought several of the epic packs, without actually playing epics yet... I also got the reavers refuge pack, now using a Dragontouched Shroud with 10% and 20% healing amp. I also managed to up my SP/con-op greensteel goggles to tier III, and got my tier II air GS bracers cleansed. I equipped a random loot +6 str ring to bring str back up. I got some of the amrath belts, especially a +6 con/gfl and one of the Ardor VIII ones. Also replaced Shionas with Torins Choker, which will only make a difference if I get the ToD ring.

I crafted a +holy silver of lawful outsider bane greataxe, and now regularly melee Harry in the shroud.

I also reset enhancements to make full use of divine punishment.

stuff still on my to-do list (will take some time, since im also flagging an alt for shroud):
-Get into my first ToD (am flagged and got boots, waiting for good opportunity) and grab two rings, preferably Warchanters Band and a STR ring thats fits to a belt
-Make blue dragonscale (5/20)
-Upgrade my greensteel HP item to Tier III
-Get a Torc (Im a bit lazy on DQ runs, still only 5 completions)
-Get max favor out of all my new packs

Another update...

I got my cleric into my first ToD, he got lucky with a veriks ring which hes now wearing (+1 exceptional con means 4 free AP). Only two successful runs so far, 2nd one netted a rakhirs ring which I passed to a wiz needing it. I also started easier epics, getting a seal of the antique greataxe and a few dungeon tokens. After the update the Antique Greataxe seems to be an ideal weapon for my char: more damage and breaks adamantine DR.

To Do
-Run ToD for Warchanters Band and trophies (2/18)
-Get Shard and Scroll of Antique Greataxe
-Get the last scale for my tier III hp item
-Buy more blue scales (8/20)
-Slowly work towards torch
-Get more favor/tp, buy artificer pack.
