March Madness PvP Shroud

This thread got me to thinking about a different themed-Shroud run - this time, it's for the PvP'er in all of us.

Cost to enter:
Sign up in this thread, taking the first 11 to sign up (proxy sign ups will be accepted).

Prize to win:
2 Flawless Red Dragon scales

Conditions for rolling:

1. At least one person must survive and activate the altar in part 4.
2. You must be in part 4 when Harry drops the first time - no hiding out in part 3.
3. You must be in part 4 when Harry dies - no releasing and camping out in the foyer.
4. Each "survivor" will roll 1d69 once. The 2 highest rolls will each receive one FRDS - ties will be resolved in a separate rolloff, but only 2 FRDS will be handed out.
5. Once you've won it, do with it as you will.

In Addition

1. Reforming after a wipe is entirely up to me
2. I reserve the right to decline dual-boxing accounts
3. Don't use "tactics" that you don't want the community to see.

Implications:

1. People will bring their best self-sufficient DPS (melee or spells)
2. They will do their best to kill the rest of the party before killing Harry
3. People will form secret partnerships with others, promising to split the 2 FRDS but getting the other teammate killed instead right before Harry drops.

March 19th @ 9:00 MT

I'm not 100% sure of the date, but seeing as how my wife is an NCAA junkie I feel the first weekend of the tournament should be pretty safe.

3. Healers who think they can time the cessation of mass heals just right are welcome to come.

1 Question though, If someone dies (don't know why anyone would) before part 4, are they out?

Considering the types of people who would enjoy this type of run, I fully expect people to die in parts 1 - 3. However, this will have no impact on their elligibility to roll for the 2 FRDS.

Anyone who is still alive (and in the Shroud) before the altar is activated in part 4 will be allowed to roll once - the 2 highest rolls will each get one of the 2 FRDS (additional rolls for ties).

If 2 people survive part 4, each will get a FRDS - the only way one person will get them both is if only one person survives.

I'm truly at a loss as to how this might happen. You mean someone might survive the cut-throat bandits in the group, yet somehow have never learned how to interact with objects in DDO? I'm imagining that skit from Saturday Night Live where the soldier in WW2 had never learned how to use stairs or a phone...

Or perhaps on their way to hit the altar, they fail their save vs disease, and join us in part 5?

If that happens, then we all get to laugh at our foolishness at letting such a noob get the best of us, and I get to keep the 2 FRDS

Everyone should feel free to bring whoever they want - I'm only listing toons in the event that someone signs up and I don't know all of their alts.

yeah, that's definitely a "laugh at our foolishness" outcome.

I just hope that someone with a beefier system and more skills than I have will be FRAPsing part 4 so I'll be able to watch the fun.
