Default User based description for AH...

Perhaps a brief description by players for some of the items on AH - namely armor and docents to offer an idea of what you are getting...

This one was purchased for my poor male upstart WF barbarian...

I can deal with the style - but the color - oh my warforged eyes!!!!

    Good idea. +1!

It would be very useful to have the seller's remarks about the item describing the color, etc.

But then people wouldn't spend money, because they would know how fuggly the armour is to begin with.

    The economy can't handle it.

What'sto stop someone from ...."sweeting" the description?
You see in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

    Exactly what I was thinking.

While the idea is a decent one. there would be nothing to stop some one from saying that a weapon is great at a certain thing (when it realy is not) and someone new to the game falling for it and being ripped off.
Your complaint has been lodged, duly noted, and swiftly rejected.

I think its a good idea, but as it was already pointed out it doesnt help with reliability too much.

Maybe making the seller's name visible or adding a reputation system then this could work. Or simply letting the buyers try the items like Clothing/Hats/Weapons before buying.
There are lots of things you can dream of but with the $$ that turbine is making on armor appearance Kits I dont think anything like this is going to happen.

Also I still believe that AH has to be simple. AH system improvemed a lot lately and it is working great as it is.

What i find sad is that you put looks over performance.

    That is what is sad.

Maybe you can play with your eyes closed, but for those of us that can't not looking goofy is fairly important.

If we wanted to look like cartoon carricatures of fantasy characters, there are other games out there for that.

That said, real men wear pink...

I see you ran into my triple TR Sorc in his usual Green skin / Pink Docent!
And let me suggest if you cant stand the look armor skins will fix that.

But can you not see allowing people to enter their own details would lead to people scamming. I can already think of several ways to abuse this.....and it would not be hard....i mean we still have people confusing Bloodstone Gem with Bloodstone Trinket....now you suggest we allow those same AH posters to add this is the +6 seeker you are looking for.....to the description of their Gem.....NOT SIGNED.

While I see the point being made about how the concept will not work..and concede to the logic of these arguements...I would still rather have made the suggestion

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem...or something like that

And no, performance was not a major issue with a basic +1 Docent. Frankly as far as performance is concerned the +1 Docent for a level 1 Warforged Barbarian with the base stats of 18 STR 20 CON 10 DEX is rather inconsequential when you really get down to the number crunching. So yeah, for 50 plat I was hoping for something a little more appealling visually. But I guess its true what they say, ya get what ya pay for.

I was thinking the same, too, here.
There would be room for perfidious griefing and genuine blundering - with people trying and claiming that a given item is, indeed, a boss beater, an actual bloodstone, or a legit unsuppressed ioun stone, and not the junk a keener eye would quickly tell them as.

The big problem with unsightly wearables would be addressed with we could equip gear cosmetically - or dynamically change appearance.
    We'll get there, eventually.
So I'll be able to drop junk armour I only keep because it looks good, and use better performing gear.

    Until then...
