Buff bar improvment

Hello.
I play on notebook (1280 x 800 res) and I don't see all buffs casue the bar is too long. It is annoying and I don't know when songs ends. I suggest to group buffs by types in rows. E.g. posibble longest buffs types (arcane & divine buffs) should have same postiotion as now. Below it shoud be guild buffs if at least one is present, then misc buffs (monk stances, paladin auras, items, abilities...) then bard songs.

I agree. For people with limited screen space the display of bars and other information can be impossible to adequately assess. I have a widescreen, and don't have the particular trouble with the buff bar that gurth83 does, but even on my screen (1920 by 1200) something like the status (z-key) window can become too long to see in it's entirety.

Even if you have a larger screen, the buff bar gets cut off eventually. I think its something like 23 and a half icons? I can't remember off the top of my head.

Regardless, a full retinue of ship buffs + raid buffs normally means you can't tell when Haste/Rage/Songs are ending, anyway.

Yea this isn't an issue with smaller screens.

It's a major issue all players suffer.

How many icons can fit accorss your 1024 pix wide screen is the maximum that can fit regardlss of how wide your screen is.. as the game was originally coded for 1024x768 rez.. on my 1920x1080 screen i can only see the same amount, just over half or my screen is wasted as its cut off.

Really poor design and needs improvement.

Need to have multiple rows (or a toggle to expend to the full width of your screen), and some filtering options for too common buffs we dont need to see like:
Ship buff icons on/off
Resistances buffs on/off

and some scaling options would be nice too, like large/small icons.

Or even a per icon on/buff.. EG: Rightclick on the icon, and it minimizes to a smaller seperate buff ui, and you can restore icons put in there by clicky on a reset button inside that ui.

I've made this suggestion a few times as well: Reorder the buffs so that the sorter durations are on the right. That way you know when your haste/displacement/rage/various other short term buffs are going to need refreshing and you can stop worrying about those 60 minute guild ship buffs!

Oh, and it's 28 1/2 icons.

Yeh its a been a porblem from the start really. I made a suggestion my self a while back - put a right click drop down menu on each buff - options are hide, cancel, and show all hidden.

It's very difficult for me to keep tabs on all my buffs when I can't see them all. This is especially true on my current build; At any given time, it has a monk stance, 3-6 guild buffs, an Arcane Archer imbue, Jidz Tet'ka stance Icon, as well as assorted self buffs (Shield, Blur, Barkskin, Stoneskin, Rams, Jump, etc...). Basically, even with my minimal buffs, I tend to cap out the screen on my poor little laptop. When I'm juggling 6 minute Rams Might, 6 minute Jump, 5 minute Blur/Shield (I can UMD the lv 10 wands, but only get about 60%, so lv 5 wands are cheaper per charge for me), Madstones, Ninja Spy Shadow Fade, and then all the other short term buffs casters can give, I inevitably forget one. Granted, I like my build because it's "interactive", but I think it'd be nice if we could reorganize the buff bar.

I think something like this would work. Either arrange buffs so that the short ones are closest to the right hand edge of the screen, or arrange buffs in multiple lines (Say, stances/sets/perm buffs can get a layer to themselves, then one for ship buffs, then one for everything else). Better yet, combine both these ideas.

Regardless. The buff bar needs help. Pretty please with halfling on top?
