Default What strategy for the Congo Bowl?

I'm torn... Not sure if you fellows would share your secret sauce, but I'm deciding between a repeater rogue, an AA, or a kensai build. Also wondering what a good strategy or set of gear might be. I estimate that people's to-hit rating could not exceed ~25, so AC might be a viable strategy. A stat damaging weapon could also be useful, or I could go with plain dps.

shadow fade + deflect arrows + greater nimble trinket 20% blur + monk AC should be pretty untouchable.

lets see what we have for AC.
    10(base) +1 (dodge feat) + 5 (Jiz bracers) +1 (monk) + 1 (ritual) +6 (dex) +3 (wis) + 2 (deflection) +1 (dodge greater nimble trinket) +1 (+3 dex item) +2 (+3 wis item) +2 ( adept wind stance)

so 35 AC with 20% blur from trinket and shadow fade. Geez then even throw in ship buffs for another 2 ac (1 wis , 1 dex) plus more from AC buffs so very much pushing 40+ AC.

geez forgot natural with grim's bracelet for +2 more, oh and heck lets throw in + 2 profane from chrono 5 piece set.

wow it is just getting silly. think you can hit a 45+ AC with a level 6 toon with 20% blur item and then add to that the quirky deflect arrows?

    so 35 with no ship buffs +2 chrono set +2 natural grim's = 39
then lets toss in the other +1 monk centered I forgot for an even 40.

lets get happy and break 40 and go halfer (giving up +1 hit and damage)

Actually, as a Ninja Spy, you can sneak to start to restore Ki.

    5 piece set, or 2.
also going to take care of almost all elemental damage as well. it will leave force and sonic the only elements that will add damage. force, truechaos, anarchic, sonic and the appropriate bane.

also though about the shadow fade myself but with deflect arrows, 40-41 AC and 20% blur probably not needed too much anyway.

defense might actually work. I think even giving up a lot of offense this would be a great way to go.

now someone just need to try it and let me know.

Those who are already on teams probably aren't looking to give the competition any pointers. But... start up a team and you should have lots to talk about and try out.

I will so that in general, AC is viable as a defense, its actual at a nice sweet spot where your choices will be meaningful and you must think about the trade off between defense/accuracy/damage.

Also this event is about teamwork and strategy. Each individual build matters, but the teamwork is essential.

Make a team and try out your ideas!

    Default The perfect strategy:

    Shoot things, and don't die.

Aside from that, strategy boils down to what build you want to play, and what your team has.
