blocking dr in epics

Maybe this is the wrong place for this and I thought it was a bug because it was also happening in crystal cove while in a full group, but I ran a epic von6 with a full group and my dr seem normal. I am using epic blademark docent with 5dr/epic and Epic Kundarak Warding Shield on my level 20 wizard, 12 on shield 5 from bab +2 +5 epic which is 24 (Not all epic mobs does epic damage) but I was only getting 14 damage being blocked. I didn't think epic dungeons scaled so I'm really confused with where 10 dr went..

Were you taking melee or ranged hits? Your active DR is halved for ranged attacks. I'm not sure how it handle's non-integer values, but this would put you in the general vicinity of 14.

(Your active DR against melee = 19. Against ranged = (19/2) = 9.5. Passive DR = 5. Total = 9.5 + 5 = 14.5. Either it rounds the decimal down, or it keeps it and gives you 14 or 15 with equal probability, or even possibly none of the above)

P&P rounds everything down (for example, damage when 2hf). I imagine DDO behaves the same way.

I guess it was range, remember someone saying that range dr got half..but on my other caster before I tr him he was getting 19 dr from just shield blocking, got bramble casters on him. Anyways, thanks nice to know that.

eh I didn't think bramble casters shown up in combat log but maybe it does..
