can someone tgell me how to put points, or how to get points, to raise str after t he initial creat sequence? I am folowing a build that says all level up pointys go into str. I have action points but those don't seem to be ones i can put into str or any stat for that matter. I realize I am missing something but not sure what.

As you level ever 4ish levels you get to increase one of your stats by 1 point.

When you reach the levels 4, 8, 12 , 16 and 20 you gain a point to raise one of yours status.

The posts above that I believe you're referring to don't seem to make a lot of sense, but just a remark in general: Most of the folks you'll run into in the game and on the forums are friendly and helpful to those just learning the ropes. However, you will run into the occasional-- erm, how can I put it without risking a ban -- elitist jerk, especially if you show any sign of not knowing everything there is to know about DDO (because he does) or you don't have perfect min/max characters that are exactly how a character "should" be made (according to the elitist in question). thanks for that reply. most of the responses to my noob questions are very helpful. I figured the troll/ fail was one of the exceptionsw but.... sometimes i can be dense so might deserve the flame. anyway I have played mmorpg's b efore but am finding dnd somewhat daunting to pickup. I like it but .....

One other bit of advice: If you're using a forum build, DO NOT pick something that says "Advanced"
Running a Cleric, you're probably going to want to run something that heals. You'll remember you can cast real spells around level 10, when you're close to Blade Barrier and clerical independence

i dont get on here very often so i was wondering how your build was going and if you needed any other help.
my clerics a triple tr ive done pure and battle cleric and like the um other guy said when you run into an elitist pig ignore or tell them their mama smells either or.
