    Default 32pt Trap/Near-pure stealth Rogue

Hi guys! I need some help building a rogue...

After playing my monk for a really long time, I wanted to play more of a support role than pure one-on-one type of gameplay.

I was looking for guides on how to build a rogue that can do some of the following, but didn't have too much luck:

Disable almost all traps, etc. end-game (Willing to sacrifice the top few best traps to boost my melee 200%+)

Have decent survivability (Decent HP or nice sneak attack damage)

Dual wielder (Or if theres another type of rogue that would be more balanced, please let me know)

That's pretty much it. - Almost all traps but leaving out a few of the really intense traps to add melee for survivability. I mainly want a support class that can help me and my friends become more wealthy (Chests, etc) and survive more (Disabling all of the gadgets)

any help would be appreciated. (I have 32 point builds)

EDIT: I'm pretty much asking if anyone has the basic starting classes & a rough-draft kind of "Should I multi-class? Is there anything important I should keep in mind?" etc. =D Sorry for all the newbie questions, but this is my first rogue! :]

The only time you would potentially sacrifice trapping ability is for a lower-level untwinked HOrc with dump int. Every other viable build in virtually every situation can hit all traps with the possible exception of Cabal for One optional chest on elite.

No less than 14 Con, get +con items, get a group. Once you get a rad2, you can drop the group. :P

This is exactly right. at level 20, using a two-hander gives up 17d6+20 (28 if halfling) sneak attack damage from your offhand. Sneak attack damage is never applied on glancing blows. With an 80% offhand proc rate, that's ~64damage per swing, not counting the damage from the weapon itself.

Basic build advice, for a halfling 32 point build with no tomes would be 16/17/14/10/8/8 pure 20 assassin 3. run mechanic from 6-12 if you're having any trouble with traps (with a higher level character to feed you gear, you shouldn't be) then swap to assassin.

If you have tomes available, you might consider something more like: HElf 18/15/14/10/8/8 fighter dilettante pure 20 assassin 3 (trade DPS for survivability by taking Barb dilettante for more HP)

If you want to go whole-hog DPS: HOrc 20/15/14/8/6/6 pure 20 assassin 3
