Default That D&D movie made in year 2000

So I'm watching it again for the 1st time...

"Hmm, how can we make the movie more exciting... I know! We can have some beholders floating around in the noon day sun!"

    Really?

That movie could have been made so much better relatively easily:

    1. The bit where he enters the map - they really should have shown that. I smell budget issues. The result of this segment of the film is 'the hero doesn't want to do it. Something happens off camera. the hero is suddenly convinced, you don't need to know why'. Weak.
    2. Beholders. As guard dogs for some human wizard type? I. Think. Not.
    3. More Richard O'Brien and more deathtraps. Honestly the thief trial in that film was the best thing in it.
    4. At least explain the **** resurrection stone at the end if you really must bring back Snailz. And seriously: rainbows? Not cool. Not even if they were double rainbows right across the sky, man.

Note though, that even in the universally panned DnD movie... they saw fit to give us druids.

The Nostalgia Critic did a great review about the movie.

I did have a blast watching it with my daughter who sometimes plays DDO with me.

"Daughter, how did the thief activate the map?" why UMD of course! !

I got a kick out of the thief trial too... Then again, THE CRUCIBLE is one of, if not my, favorite quest(s)

If I had known this existed I could have completely avoided watching the film and just watched this instead, although only slightly less annoying than the actual film, but at the same time he is spot on about what is wrong with it.
