Hat is nice but....the loss of Minos? hmmmm

I like the Hat with the seeker +6 on it....but as monk's can be low on HP's, losing the Minos isn't all that good. I have a MinII cloak and Bloodstone already so Heavy Fort isn't the issue just don't wanna be walking around with 445 hps vs 465.

anyone have any suggestions with this? If you could do a Toughness feat on it, all would be fine. I haven't been fortunate enough to get the epic belt of mroronon to get the blue slot for "toughness"...

no, i just like the trinket to stack on top of everything. I will lose the trinket with the old set up with bloodstone/minos.....just want my cake and eat it too. oh well. i'll use the hats until the event is done and go back to the same thing....

think of it like the feather fall ring from STK. I wear FF boots ml5 <-- didn't spend 300k plat for them - yet....they do the same thing.

Have a backup gear set for your guy. If you need to drop Minos, make sure that you have a ring, belt, boot set to compliment the change.

I like my BTA no ML FF boots myself. your right though no way i'd grab a feathers ring for 300K

If you need to drop Minos, make sure that you have a ring, belt, boot set to compliment the change. aye that is the biggest problem i see with chaning out of a minos (or any piece of gear after level 12 or so) the re-gear cascade effect (as I like to call it) you can't just replace 1 piece of gear then. it almost always entitles and entire complete regearing of a toon, reslotting everything. short of giving up your duskheart for a bloodstone (if you have another falselife already) is about the only slot that can change without borking your entire layout.

20 hp? really? 20 ..... 2.0. 20? i mean... yea, i've been in situations with 1 hp left and sweat on my brow. But honestly - if that happens ALOT or if 20 hp makes or breaks your guy....R E R O L L and try again.

If you stick seeker +6 on the hat you can use the +2 stacking seeker trinket giving you seeker +8.

There's plenty of gear with blue or green augments slots available for Toughness, including 3 of the 5 epic Abishai items.

Heavy Fortification is easily available with the Garments of Equilibrium, Dragontouched or slotted in the Epic Red Dragonscale as well. No reason to put Heavy Fort on a GS item these days.

If you had to decide between going with equipment set A, which will result in a total of 350hp or going with equipment set B, which will result in 450 hp, then I could understand the issue. But we're talking about a measely 20hp difference. If the given figures are your unbuffed hps then with all additional buffs you would easily make up for not wearing minos.

Ring is broken: not upgrading properly, and the description is wrong.

My ring upgraded fine, though it lists Dex twice on it and doesn't have the +5 protection as advertised. As far as I know it's a known issue though, so I expect it will get fixed eventually.

I must agree... A lot of nice stuff can be put on the hat, however, I'm having a hard time justifying the loss of the menos for these things.... (sup false life will actually be 10hps less than my current layout) but for a situational gear such as a hagglebard,or someone still leveling, it's got potential...




Oh and about those 20 extra HP's... yeah to some builds (barbs/fighter/etc) that might not make much difference... but to a caster/rogue/many others it's like getting an extra level of HP's... (Dragonic Vitality from GH is only 10 HP's, but I bet you still grind for that too)

Yeah I made ML7 Magi + Concentration10 hats for a few casters I plan on TRing.

Sup False Life + Concentration 10 for my Monk... when I switch to Garments at level 12 the Sup False Life will still be awesome. But now thinking maybe I should have done Backstab 5 at the same ML9.

Once you start working towards Epic items, you can put things like Heavy Fort and Toughness in a multitude of slots.

I just put heavy fort and Tumble +10 on my hat (why...because I like tumble.), and heal aura for the Kobolds. I have no plan on not switching back to Minos after...those 20 HP on a caster are too important for me.
