My DDO Lottory

Am checking into this but a couple of questions while I have them checking the tech side....For the characters that won but didn't receive the item, Yes or No for the following:
- Showing a character update status after 2-22-2011?
- Did not True Reincarnate?
- Never been renamed?
- Never transferred servers?

This info will help our investigation.

I had all 11 characters I have on Argo listed as winning the 5 Yarrs Lotto and one of my characters from Khyber. Hell I even had 2 Argo characters that I deleted a looong time ago win. Needless to say, not one of them received their winnings in the mail or otherwise. All of them but one were last updated on 2/26/11, except of course the 2 that I deleted. None have TR'd, only my bard - Vyseil Vyr - was renamed but that was a long time ago, and none of them have ever been transferred.

I also have several characters that supposedly "won", but have no prizes. All characters are updating with the exception noted below. No one has ever reincarnated or transferred servers.

From what I was told from a GM when I ticketed it is that the lotto is still in Beta and that sometimes you might not recieve stuff but there is nothing they can do. I was not trying to get the items because it is free to play and something special in your mail once in awhile. But kind of sad to think you win something then don't but you have to think of the times that you did win right

I have a character that is winning lotteries but I can't check his MyDDO; it says that he has been archived, even though I play him frequently. He has never been in MyDDO.

I like the ddo lotteries so i partecipate daily.

Lotteries worked good until 2/24 when the five Yarrs one was introduced, as myddo actually tells me, since it is updating correctly. I won the "quick boost lottery" on 2/23 on orien and khyber servers and the I dream od dryden on ghallanda on the same day, worked good, prizes received.

Something gone wrong with this 5 yarrs lotteries in fact i should have won it on argonnessen and ghallanda but both toons did not received the mail with the attached prize. I believe this is where the problem started... in fact, in the last lottery entered (few minutes ago, when i am writing this) what happens? A character i ve deleted is shown as eligible to enter the lottery! The name of the current lottery is 5 Yarrs +5 Harrrrts. In myddo it is also shown his name and the entered lottery.

My guess? I am thinking about the recent introduction of the "undelete character service" try to investigate there Tolero

Too many of mine have "won" and received nothing to respond one by one sorry.

My characters are all seemingly being properly updated in MyDDO, some of them have been renamed, some have TR'd -- but four of them were created on Ghallanda, have never transferred servers, have not been renamed, and have never TR'd...

Yes, I can confirm having had the same experience with these "winnings".

Ok, now more of my characters have won this lottery for the 24th. I wrote their names down this morning so I could check them (faster than loading MyDDO each time). 7/10 have won, so Greenskin was added. I had 6/10 this morning.

Still looking into this - it appears it may have been an issue specifically with the 5 Yarrs lotto BUT, I would like to clarify that characters that were imported from EU don't work in the lottery system. It treats them like a server transfer, and transfer characters also don't work (the only known workaround is to not play the character long enough for it to be archived then play it again, but that is obviously not a viable option if the character is one you actually like to play).

I'll set up some tasty test lotteries today (who doesn't like ham for birthday right?). If your character won a 5 Yarrs lottery but didn't get the prize in game, please enter that character into a tasty test lottery today. If your character wins and receives their ham, please let us know! If they don't win their ham, please respond with the following:

• character name:
• number of times True Reincarnated:
• number of times server transferred:
• number of times renamed:
• number of times deleted/rerolled:
• character originated on the Codemasters servers (yes or no):

Remember any of the following circumstances will cause your character to NOT receive lottery winnings, so keep this in mind before participating in the tasty test lottery:
- Character imported from EU
- Transferred servers
- Renamed
- Deleted and then rerolled with the same name
- True Reincarnated more than twice
- Not showing a "last updated" status after 2-22-2011 (this can be found at the bottom right corner of the MyDDO character display)

Several of my deleted and same named characters were winning and receiving lotteries, even during The Dark Times when they wouldnt update. Do you still want reports from those characters, even though they are on this list (and are now updating)?

It is completely ridiculous that:

- paying to rename your character screws you out of lotteries.
- true reincarnating more than twice screws you out of lotteries.

i don't complain often b/c i love the game and have very VERY little to complain about. (I am very serious about this, I love the game for what it is, entertaining)


I hate this.. UTTERLY UNACCEPTABLE


my characters are updating for the most part, but one has been renamed twice (lol @ me, i know) and that same guy is on his fifth life.

Many of us are being *punished* for playing the game (it seems that paying for a name change and a bunch of true hearts is beneficial to turbine, yet now those of us lining Turbine's pockets are unable to participate)
