Alright, so I have a level 11 monk at the moment, went ninja spy

I realized after the second tier, that's it
    so 12 monk levels
maybe splash in fighter or rogue?

    I'm a drow

    base stats

    14
    19
    12
    10
    17
    10

    Any suggestions?

I should mention, at the moment, I use hand wraps, but I'm thinking about switching to dual short swords. I already have weapon finesse and improved 2wf. I think the synergy would be cool with the drow racial weapon enhancement to use dual short swords. Maybe even 6 ranger for tempest? 6 fighter for kensai short swords and feats? 6 rogue for assassin?

Simply put...NEVER just wing it as you go you pretty much have to choose what your doing before starting a character...also Ninja Spy is getting its 3rd tier soon.

    Stay Pure or X Class
You need to provide context. If you're going to hang out with friends and run everything on normal difficulty and never expect to raid, then it doesn't matter what your build is. What's your focus?

    Stay pure. It's that simple.

Until you know the game well, thats the only answer for you.

Once you know it well and have leveled the both of the classes that compose what you want to multiclass, consider doing a multi...otherwise you can easily end up the guy no one wants to party with; it's easy to mess up doing a multiclass and its sad when someone gets kicked at the end of a quest because they were completely useless.

Pretty much this. If you want to make a multi-class build plan it out before you roll. If you wanted some rogue splash, for example, it would have been much much better to take the rogue level first for skill points.

    Yes.

Unless you have planned, from its inception, to multi-class a toon do not do it.

Especially with a monk - don't multiclass without a very good reason. Monks get a lot of good stuff at level 20.

Even w/out the PrE, monks get many goodies as a pure class: improvement in monk ability DC, monk capstone, 10DR at 20, unarmed damage increases, SR, etc... Monk is one of the strong classes even w/out the PrEs to help out.

Also, your unarmed dmg will always do more than ur shortswords. Just equip handwraps and a pair of shortswords and compare the damage dice in ur inventory sheet. This gap only widens as you level as a pure monk.

EDIT: and also the monk stances. at lvl 12, you still haven't qual for master/grandmaster either. these stances are also real important for boosting ur dmg output.
-Thelanis toons- Alektronic (wolf), Bakeneko (monk), Ghyldra (druid), Hermeros (crafter), Lecker (wf wiz),
Panaceus (elemental barb), Quallus (SDK), Taigong (acrobat), Vamprix (warlock), Vercigetorix (bard)

PURE PURE PURE PURE PURE PURE PURE

    'nuff said.

I'm not gonna even bother listing any of the myriad reasons to do this.

Just do it. Do it. DO IT. Stay pure.

You will likely NEVER regret keeping your toon pure. You will almost CERTAINLY regret splashing eventually.

You will likely NEVER regret keeping your toon pure. You will almost CERTAINLY regret splashing or any multiclassing at all unless you COMPLETELY plan it out ahead and have a reason to do so whether it be flavour, power or versatility
    fixed that for yeah
