    Default Double Strike Questions

If you have a DS weapon in your off hand will it still proc?

If you have 2 DS weapons will they stack? Same values/differing values?

If you have a DS shield from the new even does it work with your main weapon or does it only work on shield bash?

    Thanks.

It procs upon hit with THAT weapon, IE upon twf strike

they will stack as long as they are not cumulative

    no clue

    Thanks.

    That's not accurate.

Doublestrike only triggers on main-hand attacks.

You can stack Doublestrike from items and abilities but not two items.

With the new even shield offering Doublestrike, it would make sense to assume that any doublestrike value you have from items applies to the character itself.. which means main hand.

so you are thinking if you have a 6% DS weapons and a 6% DS shield that you still only have 6% chance to DS?

Or is it a weapon mod not a toon mod (i.e. zeal, reckless)? Meaning if you have a masterwork longword in you main hand an a 6% DS weapon in you offhand the offhand has a chance to hit twice but not the longsword? Meaning above the shield would only get DS% when shield bashing.

Doublestrike only occurs with your main hand weapon regardless of the source of it.

That's what I thought. I am not wording it very well but back to the situation of plain longsword and 6%DS weapon off hand, does the longsword have a chance to DS or is the 6% on the offhand ignored completely?

And with a 6% Shield is that only when shield bashing?

Doublestrike only occurs on the main hand.

When you're shield bashing you're not using your main hand.

That shield should impart a 6% Doublestrike chance to your main hand weapon

In case with the dagger... It should give your primary weapon a chance to double strike. If it does you then have a chance to generate another off hand attack due to how TWF works. It's worth noting you cannot proc a doublestrike off of a doublestrike.

Doublestrike is not supposed to generate offhand chances or further doublestrikes. There is some question on the success of the implementation of this idea, as well as the success of doublestrike on weapons/gear in general. More testing is required.
