    So I've been grinding out raid completions on my 1st life WF AM with a keen interest in this build and debating whether to go bard next life to save myself 1.2m xp as a bard. Not liking the idea of being without a capped caster for 7.5m xp an alternative has dawned on me, helf with pally dilly. Idea being to use the human feat to turn very good saves into godly saves at the cost of 1 enchant DC and 20 hp.

    Helf instead of Human as I see it:

    Disadvantages:
    - 1 less enchant DC(from bard PLF), leaving us slightly less godly but still amazing
    - 1 less CON in starting stats. Stats would be 8 STR 8 DEX 17 CON 18 INT 10 WIS 13 CHA. With a +4 CON tome this frees up 4 AP from adaptability, getting stuck on a +3 makes APs the same. Either way, -20hp -1 Fortitude +1 Will(from wisdom).
    - Need to find 6 APs for the pally dilly enhancements.
    - 1 less skill point per level, meh.

    Advantages:
    - Best possible saves for a reasonably built pure wizard. Factoring in the starting stat changes, +4 Fortitude +5 Reflex +6 Will compared to the human version.
    - 13 starting + 1 LotD + 2 Tome + 2 Lich + 2 Guild = 20 CHA for full pally bonus. No +1 exceptional CHA needed, freeing up a slot.
    - No bard life. You're 4.3785m xp closer to done

    That last advantage was tongue-in-cheek. I think the advantage of truly godly saves stands on its own merit, laziness shouldn't be the deciding factor.

    I am also curious as to where your priorities are for APs on this build.

    I'm missing something, as I sit at 577 when buffed like this. Not sure what I left out. I know I don't have a Toughness item slotted currently, so that isn't it, but that would be another 20, as would a +2 exceptional Con item.

    With the above added in, on top of whatever I'm forgetting, I could have 617. Oh, and could get another 10 with Racial Toughness III for 627. I think Lacer said he had either 617 or 637 when we did the All Caster ToD and he tanked Horoth. He also uses a lot more consumables than I (or anyone I know besides Axer) uses, so he may have been using a store Con pot, or Abishai cookies or...something.

    Hey Lacer did you see the new update has changed the way Pale Masters perish in Lich form? It says in the release notes the pale master crumbles into dust when they die, Woot. I can not wait for you to test this one out. Go perishers go.

    Sorry guys been super busy lately, I have made some tweaks, and gear swaps. The toon is basically almost done aside from a few more pieces of loot. I will do a full write up sometime tomorrow.


    @ Norg: I was in an Elite Demons Den earlier today and I got hit by some nasty disintegrate. Rocked me for like 600 dmg and I crumbled to dust lol.

    For TR grinders it looks like human savant(ayspam) or human/drow palemaster(you). I like it, no robots.
