    Are you talking about the periodic element Cobalt? The Chevy Cobalt? Or do you mean Kobolds as in the reptiles in DDO?

    Perhaps a Kobold was somehow merged with the element Cobalt?

    Interesting factoid: the element cobalt was named after the goblin-ish kobold of German mythology - it was obtained from what had been commonly called "kobold ore," a type of seemingly useless ore that gave off poisonous fumes when you tried to do anything with it before they figured out how to safely refine it in the early 1700s.

    The word "factoid" actually means "spurious or unverified fact".
