    Default Cosmetic's Pricing

This is just an observation and typical discussion amongst my guild mates...

The pricing on the armor cosmetics is stupid high. At the current price point, I'd be willing to pick a cosmetic armor for a single char that I play the most. If the price were lowered to say...100 TP, I would put it on most of my 12 char and even switch out armor kits if I felt like being different for the week/month. All my guild mates agree with this concept. I'm a VIP, and I don't make enough money to spend real cash on TP to buy frivolous items...so the 500/mo points I get I use for stuff like TR's and XP pots (when on sale). Even some of my richer guildies don't spend that kind of points on cosmetics due to the high price. Turbine, the cosmetics are JUST pixels...they dont make the char. better nor do they break the game so why be so greedy? If you want to be greedy, do the math on someone like me, with this example:

    350 x1
    OR
100 x12 (or more based on new skins or new armor acquired)

The math adds up in favor of Turbine if the cosmetic items are priced for a purchase without thought.

Maybe my guildies and I are crazy, but it seems perfectly logical to us!

EDIT: ...and as of today, I've still not purchased a SINGLE cosmetic item due to the unfair pricing.

It was a typical observation and typical discussion all over the forums when the kits first came out...

At least now they heard us on the black color after much complain over the pastel colors.
And i'll keep saying, no, pink isn't the new black.

    Eh.
I tend to agree cosmetic kits might be a tad pricey.
I am not sure about disparity in prices either - but I am not really asking to raise all prices to the highest amount.

    ...

To be fair, I would be more willing to spend TP if I were buying a set of cosmetic slots.
    Not a one-shot tonic.
I love alting. Between chars. Between servers. Between accounts.
The way cosmetic kits currently work does not mesh well with my gaming and spending habits.

When you buy the kit, does it adhere to a single suit of armour/robes or can you use it on multiple suits on the same toon?

Well, yes, I agree the pricing seems a bit steep, but since they give a VIP 500 free points, I'm thinking they are hoping people will sub up...

I doubt as a premium customer I'll be spending points on the armor kits any time soon, however they did get me on the cosmetic gear, as I was tired of looking at my menos... (3 years of menos, as it is still one of the best helms...) So I did by the "top hat" skin for my caster... seems much more appropriate. Even if it was a bit pricey...

It applies to one piece of armor, so that deters at least me from even considering using a kit until I get to lvl 20 and have the armor I think I'll have for a long time. Not sure if the helm is the same way.

It is a new thing so will be priced very high atm, and for the forcoming months. Expect a drop in price around spring time or possibly summer, depending on how they are selling at the time.
