Ok story time, gather 'round.

I was just hanging about when I see an LFM for Reavers' Fate Pike. I figure what the heck I'll join on my lil bard, snag a lil xp and maybe some loots.

Quest goes fine, we get to popping the big chest and bamo +3 Wisdom Tome drops for me. Now I've no intention of TR'ing her or anything so I ask the two clerics (there were no FvS) if they needed it. They both said they could use it, so I asked them to roll for it. One cleric won, I passed to him and recalled out. The other cleric was cool enough to say ty for letting him roll on it and had no hard feelings. As I drop group I see one of the paladins say he "added me." I was curious and responded in tells: (please forgive my shoddy edit skills )



Apparently I disapointed a wannabe drill instructor of a paladin.

You could have left your argument at the "... it was my loot..." and then actually /squelched. The last rejoinder of his must have you really worried tho... did you make up while you were shaking in your Kundarek Delving Boots?

My loots are my loots last I checked...I often wonder why anyone gets too worked up over loot that someone else receives but it's good for a chuckle. You would have actually gained as much or more from that tomes as he would have as his +1 more to will save ( or whatever ) would have done him less good than you in the grand scheme. Maybe the 14 more sp would have been vital to him...you guys should be on jerry Springer and hash this out.. I am sure he is an avid fan

Ahh my good chap I comend you. Not only did you come off as a nice guy to the clerics which is always a good thing (and im sure you are a nice guy) but you managed to irk a paladin in the process, bravo!

If it is the guy I think it is I have a funny story.

Was running VoD with him on my FvS. Gloves of Glacier drop to him, I've been wanting those for like ever...
So I say "If Gloves are for roll, I'd like to roll for them".
He asks me "Why do you want to roll for those? You don't need them".
I reply "The Efficient Metamagics, I would really like those, I don't even wear an item in my glove slot".
He says "Fine, you and the Sorc can roll on it" (which were the only 2 people interested)
I won the roll and he says "Nvm, you don't need the gloves, the sorc needs them, passing to him."

Okay, it was his loot. But the way he handled it was lame. Who is he to decide what I need? And then now he gets mad at you because you said before who you would let roll. Then he gets mad because he thinks nobody should tell him what items he needs, yet he did that to me.

What you did is fine. Your loot, you let whoever you want roll on it. What he did was lame, make me roll and then tell me I don't need it and screw it.

PM me with his name just so I'm sure if it is him.

I really ended my day laughing about it. Which was good, I've been kinda burnt out lately and needed a good laugh. But, it's just redonkulous that you try to do the right thing and still someone will find a way to make you the bad guy out of it.

One day I know revenge is coming tho. I will be lying incap and in dire need of a LoH and all I will hear is hideous laughter. *shudder*
