So....which items from the event are best for an Exploiter?

A lot of nice items at the event - however I wonder how many of them are useful for an exploiter. Let's see...

Pirate hat - +6 seeker is essentially a bloodstone + some points in skills. Still, I'm not sure if that's better than a Mino or a GS helm for those that use the Mabar cloak (which is almost a must for an expoiter...)

Weapons are nice for an elf - however most expoiters tend to be humans (or HO's these days) & they will still probably want to go with Khopeshes (or, if like me you are a dwarf, DA).

Armour - no good for us pajama wearing exploiters

Gloves - +7 str is always nice - still can;t see it taking the place of my spectrals

Spyglass - great for rogues, adds UMD & True seeing. I suppose you could use it instead of Tharnes, use the pirate hat to take the place of a bloodstone and make GS goggles, but you would give up 5 points in SA.

Trinkets - I actually like the bold trinket and it works well with the belt of the Ravager. This would probably be my pick for my expoiter (& it's relatively cheap to make compared to the others)

Are you going to be the one to skip out on +6 Anarchic Vorpals + (tier 3) Absolute Chaos? (scimitars)

pirate hat can have heavy fort or superior false life iirc.

gloves at tier 3 can be slotted with dex.

I've just made my hat haggle and charisma for now, as it will save some inventory space.

Though I do want those swords, especially since it will save me the issue of making 2 chaosblades (which I would prefer but eh, and I'm not hot on the Incite).

First priority is that new dagger for my FvS though.

Will try to craft 1 or 2 of the Cutlass but not sure how Inti +15 and Incite 20% will benefit a Ranger.

I made a +6 wisdom +15 DD hat and a spyglass.

Now I don't have to switch any gear at all to find and remove traps. (although I do need to switch to bloodstone when there is no traps around and heavy combat)

It will become useless by endgame (lv 12 now) but meh, the event makes it so easy to make these things I figured why not?

Not ideal but again I'm lazy. :-)

perhaps I was too ambiguous - a lot of items are great for a person who is below lvl 20 - my question was more about an endgame lvl 20.

BTW - just read on the Barbarian forum that the bold trinkets +1 dmg does not stack with ship buffs. If that is true, then I'm not sure if it's worth making except for low lvl charachter

Just checked - it doesn't stack with airship buffs so it's only good for the +2 seekers. A bloodstone is better

The spyglass is pretty sweet for a umd swap-out. I made one for my wiz too and it stacks with the +1 from the top hat (not sure if it does with the +3 epic top hat) So that's +4 easy umd with the carnival top hat and the spyglass. If it doesn't stack with the epic top hat then its much better anyways. I mean if you're using umd then you're probably not in need of your seeker bonus at that exact moment and taking off the helm drops your hp which sux.

Yep, the spyglass coupled with +5 sneak attack in the pirate hat is very nice. +8 damage is a significant boost to dps no matter what your class (unless your purpose is intimmying of course). Of course, I no longer have minos for 20 extra hit points, and there are ad infinitum ways to get 100% fort (so no worries there), but the 20 hp for +5 att/+8 dmg is certainly worth it.

Kopesh user or not the scimitars make a great deal of sense for vorpal situations. Most people dont have dual Chaos Blades.

Exploiters don't need dual Chaos Blades. If you're IC: Slashing specced (and then you're presumably Khopesh specced), they're OK but hardly seriously desirable.
