Default Best way to get 65 intimidation?

I think for raid bosses 65 is what you're supposed to go for. Correct me if I'm wrong. For a fighter who can dps and tank raid bosses, how should I go about getting high enough intimidation. I'm thinking of giving him 17 dexterity for two weapon fighting, and most chances I get to raise a stat while leveling will be put in strength.

Actually, according to this thread, you should be aiming for about 80+ for endgame elite / epic content.

80 is for 2 quests, epic demon queen and elite hound...
hound is able to be ignored and use fog, a lot of people hate intim and will not use it in dq epic, so do not shoot for that.

71 is enough for hound norm and elite for most else raids
65 is good for most norm/hard raids...cept hound

High intim from a Pali stand point

    23 base skill rank
    15 intim item
    6 GS charisma skill item
    4 intim enhancements
    4 greater heroism
2 luck bonus usually from head of good fortune
    2 feat bullheaded
    3 feat skill focus intim
2 coin lord favor of 400
    61 intim before charisma modifier
10 is modifier at 30 charisma
    71

    1 for yugo pot
    ? Ship buff
Past life fighter can add more off hand not sure

There may a few more add-in's but these are the most common

With just a 10 cha you can get

    23 ranks
    6 shroud cha skills item
    15 item
    4 greater heroism
    2 luck
    4 enhancement
    2 Coin lord favor

    56

Even with a 10 cha you could still add

5 Epic gloves of claw or brawns spirits
    3 SF: umd
    2 Bullheaded

    66

As a fighter you get either 3 for kensai III or 6 for stalwart III, Add more to your cha for more too.

intimidate sources... (not a complete list, just what I remember)

    Build stuff
+23 skill ranks (fighter, paladin, rogue)
+4 Improved Intimidate enhancement (fighter, paladin)
+4 Human Intimidate (Deneith Dragon Mark required human or half elf)
    +3 Skill Focus Intimidate
    +2 Bullheaded
+2 Deneith dragon mark (human or half elf)
    +6* Stalwart Defender (Fighter 18)
    +6* Shintao Monk (Monk 18)
+5** Skill Boost (Rogue, Human, half elf - also not reliable for intim)

    Total: +44

    Charisma
-2 to +15 : Not sure the upper limit for charisma, lets go with 40 for now

    Typical on tank: +5

    Items
+2 Luck Bonus (head of good fortune etc...)
+15 Typical skill item (lots of these)
+6 cha exceptional skill item (typically shroud, but there are other sources)
? Epics (not sure if there are further epic items here...)

    Total: +23

    Spells/buffs
    +4 moral (Greater heroism)
+2 competence (Inspire competence bard song)
+2* Command item not sure what it stacks with
    +? Ship buffs?

    Total: +6

    Other
+2 Coin lord finishing school (400 coin lord favor)

    Total: +2

Grand total (leaving out massive charisma): +80

    23 ranks level 20
    4 intimidate enhancements
    15 intimidate item
5 cha skills item, shroud (built into other items, or waste a slot for a +6 one)
    2 coin lord favor
    3 skill focus intim
6 cha modifier (12 start, 2 tome, 6 item, 2 exceptional) (room for growth here)
    4 greater heroism
2 head of good fortune (reaver raid)
    6 stalwart defender
    -------------------
    70

lots of room for more...past life feat fighter, and a ton of other stuff the others wrote...

you do not need 'no fail' intim no matter what. You can fail, it is okay. Even when starting out hate tanking sometimes aggro is drawn off you. As you build a better toon, better gear, better knowledge, better crafting, you eventually will be no fail..just as a growing hate tank will see less and less aggo being pulled off of them.

60 intim gets all but most of the raid bosses...everything in the game just about..very useful even if you are not yet at 70.

    some others that last...

    1 past life feat, fighter
    1 yugo pot
    1 +4 charisma tome
    1 +2 charisma ship buff
1 +1 skill boost ship buff
    4 bard song

    extras...

5 Human skill boost, with ToD set, 7x20 sec = 2:20 boost
1,2,3 house deneith cha skill boost (short boost, 1 minute?)
1, 2 house D cha stat boost (depends on your even/odd situation) short boost, 1 minute?

    even more.....

    2 bullheaded feat
    2? dragonmark of somekind?

    -----------------------
    94+ higher start charisma + ....

there are even more things out there..

the big question is why would you want more than 80? The answer lies in slots available to your character, or lack thereof.
A nice greensteel helmet instead of a +15 intim helm offers only a +7 to intim. However, that helmet is much more awesome than just an intim item.
If you get to 95 without wearing an intim item you have a extra slot for just about anything...very important.
If you can get to 85 without an item, you can do almost all elite and epic content except hound hard/elite and dq epic...and you just need an item then.
and so on with the math.

    An extra slot is HUGE.....HUGE.

but do not plan it out by wasting a lot of feats on it...and do not count on finding the collectibles for endless house d boosts. Death gets rid of ship buffs, etc..
