That gets time-consuming & expensive... For me the best defense is still to dump aggro onto some other poor schmuck - I mean noble companion! - in my party.

BTW, is there anything I should be trying to get from Crystal Cove? I'm already working on a Bold Trinket - any other suggestions (bearing in mind I may well go mad from doubloon farming well before it's over)?
get the ratkiller for sure.. doesnt require insane grinding and 2d10+6 mace + stun+10+earthgrab .. heck.. why not ? its maybe 2 hours work and you got yourself an epic weapon worth dpsing with + helping others once the earthgrab/stun+10 proc on mobs

perfect weapon for a thf warchanter imo..

also the stoneskin trinket is nice the +2 luck ring also nice heck grind it all..

I was going to say that

actually doubloon farming is easier at my level, because I can go in 5 levels up (even knowing I may not meet quota soloing), and try and get the Sapphires and Rubies, which are Gems I do not need at my level, and I can trade those in for Doubloons, it's like an average 800 + Copper per run that way, and about 500 silver, don't recall the gold most likely around the 200.

the Ironic part, those Kolbold Union workers always get the same amount when I am trying to meet quota.
My Bard is not great at Damage Dealing, so I'm finding it easier to meet quota 4 levels below, to get the Green shards I'll need (this is soloing it), But Gem farming I always go 4 or 5 up, and just go off killing things. I may or may not run back if the foreman yells "INCOMING", if they die, hey they died, I'm only there for the gems

Actually, I hadn't - thanks! Though ironically, now I need to farm the Cove for way more green Dragonshards...

Isn't that a maul, not a mace? I'm not a THF bard. Still, it did look pretty interesting, I would definitely like one for my THF chars, if I had the time & patience for it. I think a Cutthroat's Smallblade is something I might like, but I'd like to hear from anyone who's used it. Specifically, does the Doublestrike & Corrosive Salt proc often enough to be useful?
