They'd be too OP with inherent Underwater Action, off the chart swim skill bonus. Add in their inherent Rage/Frenzy ability when they smell blood in the... erm.... air(water). They're smart, strong, and dexterous. Would need a huge penalties, like -4 Charisma and -2 Wisdom.

As long as there's no energy beams shooting out of their heads, then I'd be okay with a watered down version (pun intended).

IMO it would have to be the first race with a serious penalty to on-land base run speed (maybe due to some webbing between the "legs"?) to make up for the massive swim speed.

But I'd still probably not /sign... yet.

Ever since Update 6 and the uber underwater combat that was introduced therein, how could you even consider that this wouldn't be grossly overpowered.

I mean, underwater combat is here! And it is so freakin' sweet!

After thinking it through, I wonder why DDO doesn't have a shark race. It would not only have mass praise and enjoyment, but who wouldn't roll a Half-Shark? I believe this race should exist, and maybe soon.

What benefits would half-shark see? Racials again flesh creatures, increased swimming, increased damage vs people of low % health, and racial scents (increased spot, search).

Bio: Breeded with humans, the Half-Shark is of even more keen sense then elf while maintaining human versatility. But most importantly, it is a SHARK! The once massively feared sea creature has now breed with the most versatile race to create a very destructive race that will join the other half-breed races.

Although she's a far sight better than the other one...the anime one...first of all cause well it's anime, and also cause she just looks like some green chick with an eel shoved up her butt.

Anyway, there's already half-sharks in ddo. You can spot them easily. They'll be in the Wayward Lobster in the Harbor, in the PvP area, (even though they're level 18 and there's other, more level-appropriate areas), taunting the level 4 lowbies, so they can feel like the big fish in the pond.

Don't be afraid of change Talias, Shark will be balanced in some way. I was thinking +1 str, +1 con, -1 Wisdom, -1 Charisma.

Max out that swim and roll your Half-Shark Fighters/Barb.

+30% speed in water, -10% on land. Maybe give two enhancements to set land to 0%.

Very nice, maybe introduce Half-Bear/Half-Shark in one MOD. The Half-animal Mod, to match the Half-Orc/Half-Elf mod. +6 slashing to the face seems OP almost.
