Default Paladin Equipment (Looking for late game info)

I'm currently playing a intimidate high AC DoS Paladin with a group of friends. X. Sample Human Tank is the build I read and followed for the most part.

I'm at level fifteen now and looking at getting some better items, our group has had some luck doing the lower/at level raid content without a PUG and we are looking to PUG/Guild for the harder ones later on.

The point I am at now though I don't really know what items are great to improve on what I am playing. This is what I am currently using.
    Eyes: Blind Immunity/+1 Hit
    Head: Minos Legens
    Neck: +6 CON/Underwater Action
Trinket: Bloodstone/Greater Bold Trinket/Bottle of Air
    Armour: Brutush Cuirass
    Cloak: Resistance +4
    Wrists: Chaosgarde
    Belt: HP +30
    Ring 1: WIS +5
    Ring 2: CHA +6
    Feet: Featherfalling/Striding/Balance/Firestorm Greaves
    Hands: +6 STR +13 Intimidate

Weapons/Shield: +5 Acid Guard Tower Shield + Bastard Sword (cheaper than Khopesh for a newbie) or Greatsword.
    Party Buffs: +4 Dex

We are thinking of picking up The Reaver's Reach in a couple of levels to get Dragontouched armours (and nice XP) so any input on what bonus' work well on that armour would be great. Other than that just wondering what advice people can give me on items I might not know about and should look towards getting.

    Thanks in advance.

Am I missing where you've placed your Constitution Item?

If you're not wearing one, remember at level 15 a +6 Con item is +45 HP. You'd be better having that as a Belt than GFL by +15 HP, and the difference will only rise as you level.

Also, it may be helpful to let us know what Content Packs you have, since you mention buying Reaver's Refuge. People can mention plenty of tasty things, such as the DoS Belt from Amrath, but if you don't own/plan on owning, then there's a problem.

I normally don't wear a CON item and pick up Bear's Endurance from our Cleric. I could always look into getting an item with it to boost HP further though.

We have enough points for all of the content now so people can feel free to recommend items from any of the adventure packs (we hold of buying them until we do it in case of sales)

Looked at it a bit more...

Goggles : Not much to do here. When you start raiding and do VoD, you can look for Tharne's Goggles. Good addition to DPS when you don't have aggro, great addition to DPS when mobs displace themselves. Optionally, Mentau's Goggles are not BtC, so can be purchased from another player, but tend to be rare and expensive.

Head - Good. Stick with Minos for a while. Hard to beat Toughness + Heavy Fort.

Necklace - I'm having a hard time seeing a justification for this. Underwater Action is situational, at best, and Poison Immunity is nice, but not a big deal. As a Paladin with high saves, you'll make 95% of Poison saves. Also, its a Level 4 Paladin self-buff. Or, if you don't want to use the spell slot for it, its also a Potion. Central theme? See if you can grab a +6 Con necklace here for the time being, fix my aforementioned issue without having to ask Clerics for temp buffs. This also makes it a convenient transition when you put on the Shintao Cord.

Trinket - you're already immune to disease, so all you gain from this is a guard. Probably not very worth it. You should be looking for (Content Pack/Item) : (Delera's/Voice of the Master), (Demon Sands/Bloodstone), (Amrath/Shimmering Arrowhead [Min Level 18]), (5th Birthday Celebration, Greater Bold Trinket). Start with the last one mentioned, the Greater Bold Trinket. You'll be able to start farming for it Thursday.

Bracers : Since you're DoS, Chaosgarde's may be a good fit here. the +2 Dodge bonus to AC is nice, and will stack with any other Dodge bonus of a value different than +2.

Belt : Currently, you have GFL there. You'll want to consolidate with CON +6 And GFL. How do we do this? Amrath, Belt of the Defender of Siberys. Eventually you'll want the ring to complete the set, but for now just the Belt is a big bonus. And it doesn't require running the raid to get, so it can be easily farmed from Genesis Point.

Ring 1/Ring 2/Cloak - Hmm. Cloak's are normally a convenient place to fit in your +6 Charisma. You'll want your ring spots open eventually for ToD Rings, namely the DoS and Shintao rings. Those are Str +6, Wis +6, Exceptional Str +1 and Cha +1. So, I tend to think that eventually, you'll want to move Charisma to your cloak spot, and find your +Resistance bonus elsewhere.

Feet and Hands - Look good for the moment. There are other gloves that are handy to have, such as Spectral Gloves, but for now focusing on your Intim and Strength bonus is good enough.

Armor - Yeah, you need to move up to DT's when available. Looking at them, you'll probably want Resistance +5/????/Dodge Bonus +3. Why the ????. Well, Tempest Rune has a lot of nice stuff, depending on just how you want to build it. I see Incite +15%, Healing Amp +20%, Prot +5, and all the Stat +6/Exceptional Stat +1s that could easily fill this slot and be useful to you. Unless you always have a Cleric with you that casts Shield of Faith, you probably want the Prot +5, to continue having AC that matters.

Shield - Levik's Defender will be a nice upgrade to what you have, after you've ran a bajillion Hounds.

Outside of Epics, those are probably the items you should be looking for. May the Sovereign Host guide you.

Thank you TheDearLeader, I just got the Con +6 necklace and am talking my group into looking for the chaos bracer's soon. I should be able to focus on that list for some time while getting my last levels.

    Thanks again.

DearLeader gave some great advice (tried to +1 him but need to spread it around more ).

I would like to add a few things.

Getting +6 CON is huge, especially if you are pulling AGRO ass it sounds like you are.

WIS is needed for casting spells, but can be swapped in/out as needed, so I like to use the neck slot and swap in all kinds of other items.

He mentioned the Hound Raid - I think it is part of the Vale pack, and well worth it.

As a DOS the Shield and Bracers (or Gloves?) are a great set.

Getting your group into Hound Raids should not be too difficult, and there is a lot of XP (and crazy fun) to be had in the Subterrean! If you all decide to go exploring do NOT just jump down and 'play' with the 'Spells' they are crazy hard. Jump right and run from all but the one or two that follow, and go explore/kill the rest of what you encounter. Do be careful clicking on portals as you never know where they will go - or span

Also, you mentioned Reavers Refuge - another great place for fun and XP. Once you get to SoS and Dragontouched Armor you can start grinding the Soveriegn Rune to complete the Defender of Siberys set. I just got it for my DoS Pally, after only about 20+ tries. The new mechanic where all group members can see the type in the chest and swap makes it a LOT easier!

The event armor and shield (and scimitar) are quite excellent... I believe I'll be hunting for them. The armor is better than most DTs by far (+40hp, +5 saves, 20% chance of gaining 30 hp on hit, 5 DR, mithral, slot). The scimitar is a good threat and intimidate weapon. The shield gives insight saves and AC without using a shroud weapon or DT rune. The scimitar isn't as attractive for you because you have fighter levels, but still...

As a tank you should consider using your goggles slot for greensteel (+45 hp item, mine is con opp). The con opp also gives +6 wisdom, which is a good slot consolidator.

Thanks for the further input. I'll be grinding that event like mad it seems! (our party wants a bunch of stuff so it's all good)
